From the movie “The Critic.” It’s on KZbin. Real funny BBC movie. It’s what is called a farce.

Comment from Bulldog. I [ speak Dutch ] and the first 5 mins were good, but then I heard the first error mistaking the Dutch word 'arme' meaning poor, as 'arm' in English, mistaking that they were saying; prosperous whites in poor, black Africa, not white prosperity in the arm of black Africa .. The next minute I almost spat my drink out when I saw them translate 'neger' meaning negro, as n***r, which totally undermined their baseless suggestion that blacks were too poor to drink in white bars, supposedly proven since it was only full of prosperous whites, which is itself nonsense, ignoring the employment and good money earned by black waiters and other staff from tips on top of wages, while blacks stuck to their own too and drank locally brewed beer at very cheap prices, as you see in the next scene where they're drinking out of small buckets, as they've always done, long before the white man arrived. It's worth pointing out that women were customers on the white terrace, but not in the black shebeen, since they are subservient and only allowed as waitresses. This not only signifies a difference in culture but sophistication, however it's worth noting that the blacks in the shebeen were dressed in western clothes, which demonstrates an uplifting in their cultural journey, as they all realized that they were being brought into a modern world and actually appreciated the opportunity being afforded them and wore western clothes to denote their status. They weren't being denied anything, their lives were being improved and while this leftwing report sought to find discrimination it had to point that blacks lives were well-cared for with outstanding medical facilities and schools, otherwise they lived as they'd always done and are seen happily smiling while the narrator claims they're being hard done-by ..

Once while I was on the CZ riding in a sleeping car, I observed a live birth take place on the train, I’m not joking. Back in late March 2019, I was on the California Zephyr going from Davis to Glenwood Springs and on the train, there was pregnant 19 year old girl from SFSU traveling from Emeryville to Denver with her boyfriend. They normally fly home from college for holidays/breaks but because their due date was close (due date was April 5th and they departed on March 29th), they had to use the train since airlines do not allow women to fly in the last 6 weeks of pregnancy. During the ride at 1 AM, the girl’s water broke and the attendant for our sleeping car (Justin Woods, a young guy in his early 20s) volunteered to deliver the baby since he had seen how it was done online. The girl agreed and Justin did so in which he went into the first aid kit, got his gloves on, then squeezed himself into the roomette to have the girl push while he caught the baby when she was born. The baby ended up being born on the train - a healthy baby girl in a ROOMETTE!!! It was a fabulous story and the girl, her newborn and boyfriend were taken off the train by paramedics at the next railroad crossing (train was in a remote location between Elko and Salt Lake City at the moment which required a helicopter ambulance to meet the train). As it is, I observed the whole thing as I was holding the girl’s left leg as well as recording this with her boyfriend’s phone. I’ve wondered - if you are female, suppose this happened to you where you (or your wife/girlfriend) suddenly went into labor on an Amtrak train and the train was going across a remote location at the moment. Would you at all be able to tolerate giving birth unmediated, while crammed into a Roomette, on a bed that was not flexible (unlike in the hospital), on a train that speeding up to 90 MPH, the baby’s umbilical cord having to stay attached to you until you got to a hospital (no scissors/clamps on the train), and the person delivering your baby is an Amtrak conductor/attendant with no medical training or license of any kind??? Seriously, this girl was incredibly brave and was lucky that there were no complications, PLUS it only took 20 minutes for her to push the baby out (water broke at 1 AM, and the baby was born at 1:22 AM) What do you think of all this!!!???

Thank you for posting this! FYI: There is a sharper copy of this same production available on a databank called, Films on Demand, which is published by InfoBase. However, it requires an institutional fee. So if you aren't connected with an institution (such as a museum or library) that subscribes, you are out of luck. The version that you post here is certainly clean enough to enjoy.

Dear Friend: I am a fan of the railroads and I am going to travel to the United States in the month of June next. I will visit the cities of Los Angeles, Las Vegas and San Francisco and possibly San Diego. I need to know what routes it recommends to do, either between cities or urban systems, such as trams in different cities. Which route recommends me to do with beautiful views. Thank you very much and I greet you Fausto Brindisi from Argentina

Beware, much of the information shown as the video plays is incorrect. The glimpses are of Lake Spaulding on the west side of the Sierra Nevada mountains.
