I own both. The escape feels and drives lighter, almost sporty but with a relatively weaker engine. But no complaints, I like both.

The Edge is built on the newest full sized Taurus platform while this styled Escape was on the Fusion smaller midsized platform even though my parents had a 2018 Escape SE was a nice suv was great on gas with that 1.6L Ecoboost!

Mine sits at 23k miles, 100% best car I've owned and they last very well also, I've seen plenty with 100k miles plus...beaten like eggs and still making scramblers.

Diesel powered engines I am on my second my first a 1.4 3 cylinder diesel 2008 vw polo I had for 12y it had 100.500 miles on it when I Traded it for my 2015 Vauxhall Astra 1.6 diesel it is a lot smoother and to my surprise it is given my more mpg then my x vw even doe it is a big car it having six gears dose help at 70 mph it manages 75 mpg with the price of fuel in the U.K. it keeps my bills lower

Got my 5.0 this week. When I ordered it, I was in turmoil over which engine to get, but decided on the 5.0 because my gut tells me it will last longer with fewer issues. I'm a former Ford guy, but now a Toyota guy, so this is an adventure for me (love the sound of the v8 though). Peace, Love!!
