Hi Levi, I’m lucky enough to be fishing either pit 1 or pit2 for a Navy match next weekend with the idea to fish pit 2 as I’m hoping it has a better chance of producing a fish. Any advice on how to go about it like bait, swims etc would be massively appreciated…. Thankyou 👍
@leviscarpfishingАй бұрын
Hello 👋, walk around the lake a few times and try to locate the fish. It is a smaller lake, but as always, if you are not on them, then you can't catch anything. It can be fairly weedy in some places. I'm not sure about the current weed situation right now. I did well on boilies and pellets. Also, I had a few fish on zigs. There are no nuisance fish in there, just carp. Also, if you get a swim where fish are jumping near you, I would definitely cast a rod on top of them, as I had lots of times where I cast one rod on top of them and had a bite fairly quickly. I've got another video when Pit 2 was drained. It might help you to see under the surface. 😊 Let me know if I can help you with anything, and also keep me updated on how you get on the match.
@RichGreen-l5n I linked the video, check it out, and let me know what you think.

Hi, I saw your video and I wanted to ask you which in your opinion are the best rods between nash xseries and korda kaizen???
@leviscarpfishing2 ай бұрын
Hello, sorry for my late response. Kaizens are really good rods. I like them a lot. They cast long-range or short-range; either way, they perform very well and accurately. Also, the Nash X series is good for the price. The Nash feels a bit softer on the tip, even with 3.5 lb rods. Let me know if I can help you in any way! What rods have you got?🫡

Thank you for the kind words 😊 and Happy Birthday for your son!🥳🥳 I hope he will be blessed with a few carp and a big PB!! I would definitely avoid pellets 100% too many bream in there....I used boilie,corn,maize, tigernut, flake maize, these baits are worked really good for me on there but ofc you have to find the fish first 😉 I caught most of my fish out from the snags and the little islands area. The weather is good for it now tbh. Let me know which peg you are going for.

@leviscarpfishing4 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching my videos 😉 sorry for the late response 😅 The rods that I've got are 3.5Lb they are very good for casting solid short range or long distance aswell. I've been casting solid bags over 23 wraps (tbh not many lakes that you have to cast over 20wraps or you are allowed to use bait boats) without any problem. But ofc you gonna have to tie a nice solidbags to cast them far. And also you might have to consider a tapered mainline if you are planning to go very far. I hope this was helpful🤗 If you have any questions do not hesitate to contact me 😉 Either way let me know what you decide.

I use Daiwa D Carp rods to which i brought cheap new for less then £30 each. One is a 3lb model and my second rod is a 3.5lb model as I only use up to 2 rods. Now I have owned these since 2019 and boy they sure have been used alot. I have caught 100s of carp and cats on them Cats up to 50lb and carp up 28lb and man do they bend yes they sure do but they still feel great playing carp. I can get them a good distance to with a 3oz lead. Next year I may replace them as they will be over 5 years old but i am unsure just yet. These look cool but way way over priced like all the korda range
@leviscarpfishing5 ай бұрын
I used to have a Fox Warrior ( the very first one), and I have used it for years. I think they were like £50 each. After that, I bought the 50mm but ring version of it, used a few years, and then I bought the nash x350, which is a little bit a step up used I'd for 2 years and then I got this korda Kaizens. To be honest, not the rod gonna catch you the fish, but you. Of course, the gear can help you in certain situations, but most of the time, it is all up to you to find the fish and put your hookbait in the right spot!! Good casting can be achieved with lots of work and practice 💪. What rod you thinking to get? 🤔

Looks good, the thing is it need to suits your needs not someone else's, if you like it go for it. I've got a tempest 5years now and it still good you can see the wear on it but still in working order i can recommend it. but there is also a different version of bivvy's/ brolly's but i would definitely buy one witch is quick to set up. some of them are expensive yes, but if you buy like a trakker brolly or fox lite they aren't cost that much money. Worth to look around on facebook marketplace or ebay sometimes you can find good deals on them.
