Liverpool fans are not ultras, we are affected by events on the pitch, the volume and enthusism rise in proportion to 1) the importance of the result, 2) the quality of the opposition 3) the performance of the players. We try to encourage the team all the time, we do not boo our players even when they play badly. There are also very few derogatory songs about the visitors, our songs are aimed at lifting the players and celebrating past glories.

We didn’t have much to shout about tbh, also the away end is far away from the Gallowgate. I couldn’t hear the away fans at all until the end.

Been there for my first time at Dortmund. I was really disappointed at the support of the home crowd. They are probably 20k people there with only about 20% of them supporting. Obviously still loud, but FAR AWAY from a “yellow wall”

I'm a Dortmund fan, and I'll definitely go to a game in Dortmund one day. I've seen them away to Rangers back in 2022, and their youth team play Hibernian in Edinburgh. I've been on a stadium tour of the Westfahlenstadion.

I think they released at least 5000 more tickets than the stadium can hold. All stairs were blocked. I think all who attended a previous game in the national league could enter UCL game with Barcelona, or something like that. But at the Southern entrance, where you have been is the worst. Obviously you came to the stadium way too late, but even if you came earlier there would be problems because there is only one gate for the whole south I think. Next time go for the West or East side of the stadium, and be there ad least 1h before the game start. I never lost my seat for the past 10 years. But here we all stand don't expect to actually seat in the stadium. Also Red Star is in awful shape right now. The atmosphere was pretty bad to be honest. I doubt that it would be better in the next games, we are just not on the UCL level. And that affects the atmosphere.

@@TheMatchdayExperience Well Red Star is one of the biggest club in the Eastern Europe. But after all the wars and sanctions in the 1990s we fell down and reach the bottom. Right now we don't have the budget nor the players who can do much in the USC really. Plus we have huge problems with injuries. I don't like how our management is leading the club, they are gambling all the time, I don't expect it to change. As for the stadium, it has emotional and historic value, but essentially it is a hole, it cant compare to the modern stadiums sadly, and nothing cant be done about it for now. Against Stuttgart I expect better performance, generally we play well against German clubs.

You should have came 2 hours before the mach, this isn't bernabeu with 500k capacity, this is Belgrade babay, there's no reserved seats here. Now don't be cheeky, and respect the place where you came to. P. S if you wanted to sit on your ass the whole mach, and yell "defense" you should have bought a VIP card.

I understand what you’re saying, I definitely should’ve arrived earlier but my flight arrived 3 hours before kickoff. Next time I’ll be at the stadium at least 2 hours before. I completely respect the place, but I expected to be able to get a seat considering I paid for one. I’m not going to sit in VIP and ‘yell defense 😂’ that’s not how I am. I like Red Star and supported the team during the game, next time I’ll be more prepared. Thanks for your comment 👍

@@TheMatchdayExperienceye i was also at the stadium and was shocked of the „bad“ atmosphere. Ofc the derbys are good in terms of atmosphere, and basically every big game. Cl/bundesliga against big clubs

Highly overrated yellow wall. Don't get me wrong, it sure is an impressive and nice view, but i could hear the away fans very clearly and frequently throughout the game on tv. Also, the participation rate within the stand is quite low. Idk, yes, they are many, but u can see that sturm has them on quality (which is always easier as away fans to be fair). You mic cuts the atmosphere quite heavily, i'd have love a few shot where you try to capture the atmosphere without talking, or maybe have 1 mic for talking with heavy noise supression (that one u had was great for that), and one where you pick up everything else?

Fair enough, sounds like a good idea. Perhaps the yellow wall isn’t quite what it used to be, but it’s still very impressive. The away fans surprised me, I didn’t realise how good they were. Next time I’ll try to capture even more of the atmosphere.

The worst ground I've ever been at no crowd control. If we had scored there would have been a massive injury and death toll and extremely dangerous in the concourse. But have to say the home fans are the best I've ever seen. Great day out

@TheMatchdayExperience NUFC fans were allowed to hop over the gate and overcrowded the section I was in also they stood down the walkway so basically if we scored the only place we would end up is being crushed against the fence, we made our concerns to the home stewards their response I don't understand English. It would have caused another Hillsborough. In the concourse it was approximately 2 inches deep of water / beer so you had to be careful on our feet. But match experience was great the experience of watching the homie fans directly across the pitch was something different

I got them from a friend who’s a BVB fan. They went on general sale a few days before kickoff though as it wasn’t sold out.

Dortmund fans are the best in the world. Favourite match I've been to in the Westfalen was 4-2 win against Atletico Madrid in the quarters of the CL last season. Unreal. I travel over 5-6 times a year at least to see a match

Who do cheapest ticket in world football because they do pay what you want entry in home games in English Lower League.😮 HALLAM fc play in world’s oldest stadium and Sheffield fc are world’s first football team.
