This interview makes Spike look like a real person. I don't think we often view people in politics in any way outside of their viewpoints and standings on political issues. Having this conversation makes it easier to see the person behind the ideas and maybe, for some who would have a hard time agreeing with his standpoints, it makes him easier to relate to. I absolutely love that. We need more of this type of simple, personal, open, and honest conversations about stuff like this podcast hit on with more politicians to, perhaps, reduce some of the animosity that exists out there. It's harder to openly despise someone if you see them as a human, rather than an idea.

I get that the interviewer was uncomfortable but he shouldn't have been laughing. Depression is very much real and can consume you like it did Chester.
