Wish to add one more point on the issue of High Court order. There is a communication from the central government, more than 11 years old, asking the state government to prepare and submit socio economic status of Meitei community. As the state government was not acting on it, someone filed PIL in the court and the honorable High court directed the state government to do the needful. Court cannot determine SC/ST status of a community. It's the job of SC/ST commission of the GOI. Court,s order was an alibi of attack.

You miss a funny part...the land in the valley which is bought by tribals ...even if the tribal sells meitei can't buy the land from them...meitei's have to go through a long procedure to buy the land..meitei's were ST before?? Why taken back....??? Just because meitei follow hinduism..so in order to get ST status do meitei's have to convert themselves to christian ?? Why don't anybody see the clear picture thoroughly??
