The cartoon was originally posted on my blog and it was found in my mother’s house when I cleaned it out after her passing. I love that it has been shared so many times…..a great tribute to her!!!

Hi Dee I been wanting to make this quilt for some time now. I stumbled upon this video. I went to find the pattern but it’s not there. Can you send it to me? I checked the quilt show website but found nothing.

🧡 Alex ! . . . , I feel like you’re one of my quilting besties . . . I agree about “what are you going to DO with this ?”. . . , especially the question “WHO are you making that quilt for?”. . . , the answer is “just because, it’s for ME !” 👍🏽 I am also a LEFTIE

Alex, you could use those little squares as corner stones in one of your quilts. They would look great on anything. With your blanket stitch, the reason you have trouble remembering how to do it is that you are doing so many different stitches that you some times forget how to do one of them.

The book for left handed stitching there is the Right-handed Embroiderer's Companion by Yvette Stranton. In the book there are pictures and descriptions for left handed stitchers as well. I'll have to leave a note for my kids to check on it before just giving it to good will.

Can I use an 100% Muslin Full Sheet for the backing with the silk ties? Or could I use the crazy scraps of Taffeta fabric? Can I use the solid taffeta pieces with the print silk blocks?

Cheeee--hoooo- I did the taupe with the subtle stripe and have all the stripes oriented the same way. Great tip. One tree down-3to go. The added bonus is that all of the outside edges are straight of grain. Aloha Ke Akua

Yes! I did learn something new. Be careful about using masking tape. Each color has a recommended time to Levon but it’s for painters who are working and doing and finishing. Masking tape doesn’t belong in the sewing room as when you leave it on too long, the adhesive is impossible to get off of anything. The adhesive on the “scotch” tape that you have there can even be rubbed off with a dry cloth or even your finger.

Excellent review. We can all use reminders about good technique. I always appreciate when pattern writers include as many interim measurements as possible.

Loving your interview with Katie Pasquini. Thank you! Question - what is the cause of the strange (and annoying) sound on your video? I’m guessing it’s something related to your computer connection? The sound is also occasionally on your recorded discussion with Katie.
