I really like this version. You transformed the old drumatrix drums, which I don't like, to a modern version, yet you still kept the old guitar sound. I wonder how you did that. My stuff wouldn't replicate the old broken guitar amp with cheap miking on the 8 track machines of the time when they did the record. Gabriel must be a genius.

He’s great at taking the more lengthy and monotonous songs and adding just enough to make them more interesting to listen to. I love the sparse guitar that slowly creeps in. I’d love to hear him tackle Afterhours.

I’ve been listening to this and On the Beach and others like I would listen to a new SoM album. They are all excellent, but this… this outshines the original by a country mile. It’s far more interesting to listen to. I really hope you consider covering a few other Sisterhood songs… well, I guess there are only 2 others you can really cover, but… hey, I also like the non-SoM covers too. Btw- have people heard the AWFUL Sisterhood remaster version of Rain from Heaven that just drops out at the end!?

The true challenge would be to redo something off SSV and make it even listenable. I think there’s only one “song” on there that even had a recognizable structure, but it will be a cold day in hell when I give that “album” another listen

Haven't thought about it but who know what might happen. The songs Andrew howls/shouts is quite hard to sing and I think I need a more soundproofed room to record the "in the rain"-lines or maybe the neighbours will call the police 😁

For both guitars on intro and verses I used Toontrack EZmix 3 and a chain of 1. Hot for Plexi 1 (with phaser, verb and delay) and 2. 8-bit reverb with delay On the choruses there's 2 more guitars playing some heavy powerchords and I use Toontrack Ezmix on both. One guitar uses preset JP-PK and the other UK Guitar stack
