Steve using Stratotocaster just for: "In that Quiet Earth " and Wot Gorilla song. Now he use his Fernandes Les Paul with floyd Rose and sustainers. So this the problem with les paul ( no tremolo bar).

Fino a "The lamb Lies Down On Broadway".

That is the sign of a great band. If they don't need technical help to sound good. Live lifts that mask. Genesis are masters at that (their songs are usually long - especially earlier years). How can you keep playing flawlesly a song like supers ready for over 20 minutes live? Kansas was another band that sounded great live better than the record. True professionals at their craft.

Phil later commented he told the guys Turn It On Again was too fast for him after the show. They performed it with kinda the same tempo that in 1981-1992, that is actually faster than the album version. I recall this was the first actual Genesis live show they gave before the tour started.

I must say you have, as far as I know, one of the last videos of this band playing Supper's Ready, period!. It was during the US leg of the tour Phil list his voice enough where he couldn't keep pulling it off every night. By the time the live video was recorded at Wembly on the 4th of July 87' to close out the tour, this had been long replaced. Who cares about the quality, it's good enough to see. Prior to this it was the King Biscuit recordings to hear another epic Qiet Slumbers, which kicked ass. All of these are simply the best piece of music ever recorded , PERIOD!!!! Thank you for sharing this with us. It's so incredible to see as someone who was too young to go to this show at the time. If anyone else has more than this footage, please let me know. Cheers
