I didn’t really like the temporary course, so I only did it once and went elsewhere. Ended up battling with a runner with a buggy that the temp course wasn’t really wide enough for. Good vid anyway!

@@sesaye Thank you! I'm pretty pleased with how it came out but it still could have been a bit smoother towards the end. @@Paul_Stewart_Strava I thought the exact same thing 😅 Almost 11 months later it still causes me some bother. The skin is still numb and if I kneel on it or bend it too far it can be pretty sore. It's sometimes pretty stiff and sore after a tough run too (but it's fine while running). All that being said, I'm just so happy to still be able to run that I'll gladly tolerate all that!

@@Sam.Barclay i was just about to say, to be able to run after that is outstanding, can i ask how you did it?
@Sam.Barclay2 ай бұрын
@@Paul_Stewart_Strava I fell during a parkrun. I'm not 100% sure how I managed to fall but I think I probably just slipped on the wet grass at the edge of the path. It was Loch Leven parkrun, the whole thing is on a stony, gravelly path and I probably fell on a particularly sharp stone. I'm not totally sure though because I fell into a puddle so couldn't even see whatever I landed on! It was about 200m from the end, I was able to get straight back up and finish the run. I knew I was bleeding but I didn't know the real extent of the injury until after I crossed the line and had a good look. I have another video where I go into a lot of detail about the whole experience of my injury and recovery but it is quite long and probably isn't the most exciting video to watch 😅

Takes me back to my very early days of doing parkrun. I did my 4th ever run there. Set a PB over there, although that only lasted for one week as I went to St. Andrews the next week and did my first sub-30 (if then you'd ever have predicted I'd do a sub-25 one day I'd have thought you were mental). The memories, feels longer ago than it was. 😅

@@shapes2000 thanks for watching, hopefully you'll get that running mojo back! Sometimes before a run I feel a bit tired or like I won't manage it but afterwards I'm always glad that I ran regardless of the time. Filming definitely does affect my time but taking that into account this one was still a liiittle slower than I had hoped. My times went through a slight slump recently, whether filming or not, but now I'm about as fast as I've ever been - I think it's because of those reps I've been doing so I might make a video about that.
