As many others have noted, GO WITH THE GRAIN which in this case is L-R. However, the cleaning action seems to do the trick!

Great video, thanks for sharing. I used to live across the road from the lake on Phillip Place in Settlers Village. Moved away for work in the Central Australian Desert in 2012 and returned in late 2021. I walk the lake and all those great trails you shared some weeks up to forty-three kilometres. I love it. Friendly people. Clean suburb. Outdoorsy vibe. And great walking tracks. ❤

Oh my,absolutely terrible idea, don’t you see her stainless steel appliance is dull, she scratched it all up,foil paper too abrasive, then not going with the grain bad idea, just use bar keepers on a damp microfiber cloth will take it out, clean it off then finish it with baby oil on soft cloth , good as new

DON’T DO THIS… stainless steel ALWAYS has a grain to it. Firstly, you must only rub in the direction of the grain or you will leave swirly scratch marks. Secondly, don’t use aluminum foil, as it’s far too abrasive wadded up like that.
@HobbesNJoe Жыл бұрын
No no no no no. WD-40, Barkeeper’s Friend, naval jelly, Evapo-rust, or white vinegar. ANY mild acid will do it. Some people use a baking soda paste to abrasively remove rust. Most importantly, use a SOFT CLOTH and wipe WITH THE GRAIN. Finally, neutralize any acids you used, and treat the surface with a neutral oil which will protect the finish from further oxidation.

@robandalicruisetravel Жыл бұрын
Hi JulieAnn. Ours has been fine, no further rusting. I think if you used something abrasive like wire wool it might but the aluminium foil doesn't seem to have any adverse effect.

Great video and this seems like such a versatile caravan. We are considering a 2010 version of this model for two of us and your bed set up is a great idea. How do you find the wet room? This is our only concern as we would prefer a separate shower so our feet are not getting wet when we go to the toilet but for our budget we have to compromise somewhere. Thanks
@robandalicruisetravel Жыл бұрын
Hi Tracey. We have no problem with the wet room but we don't really use the shower, tend to use camp sites with facilities and use those instead. Also, we have the rubber mats on the floor which helps. It really is a great little caravan and so easy to tow.

@quriouskoala46512 жыл бұрын
Hi Crescendo. Thanks for dropping by and for leaving a comment. Sorry for the delay in replying, go hit by the dreaded flu and COVID. We bought it in 2013 and at that time it cost AUD$35,000. I think this was one of the last Musketeers t come into Australia as I haven't seen them for sale since but Swift caravans went up in price quite a bit shortly after we bought ours.

Hi Ankit. Thanks for the comment. The pavers are 400mm X 400mm. 4 of them work really well whilst the umbrella is horizontal but struggle a bit it it's at an angle and the wind gets under it. Might end up having to double up on the pavers for a bit more weight.
Thanks for the video, it brings brings back a lot of memories

Hi Valerie. I have checked and none of the poles on the umbrella seem to be deliberately angled. The upright could be a little off straight up but then again it could be that it's not sitting on the ground too flat. Robert

Can you please comment or record on how bad/good is the noise living just next to the Logan Motorway such Purdie Pl, Ashton Way (all those streets around) Thanks in advance, great video!
@quriouskoala46513 жыл бұрын
Hi Luis. Thanks for the feedback. As to your question, I'm sorry but I can't really say as we do not live on that side of Forest Lake. Given the proximity to the motorway I would think there would be a little noise. I guess it's like a lot of places where there is a constant noise though and you get used to it so that you don't notice it as much. Also, consider that the shooting range is not too far away so there could be some noise from that. If you are on Facebook I would suggest that you join the 'Forest Lake Community Space (Australia)' page and put a post on there. I'm sure there will be people who live around that area who will be able to answer your question. Sorry I couldn't help more but I think the Facebook page will be able to. Robert.

Thanks for the comment. It is, been down a couple of years now. The turf we have round the back of the house is worn out so we'll need to get it replaced but we can't get the same as the stuff in the video unfortunately. Should have bought enough for the whole area at once. Oh well. Robert

@@quriouskoala4651 sorry. I meant is the brolly in one piece. Apologies about confusion.
@quriouskoala46513 жыл бұрын
Sorry, of course, it's obvious now I read it again. Yeah it is still in one piece. The only downside I've found is that if you tilt it and the wind gets under it then it can blow over quite easily because of the size of the canopy. Fine when it's horizontal though. I have 4 concrete blocks on the base but may put another 4 on to make it a bit more secure. It's a really solid unit and we're very happy with it. We were looking at a fixed gazebo originally then realised that as the sun moved it would come under the gazebo whereas with the umbrella we can adjust it to keep the area in shade longer. Hope that's of help but let me know if there's anything else you want to ask. Robert
