I spot a lantern on the shelf, beautiful! Great review, you have such a great speaking voice Dale! Will you be creating a review of the Wizard of Oz? Everyone was gushing about the new movie around the holidays. I still haven't seen it yet, have you?💕

Hello again, glad you are enjoying my channel, and my voice! If I do a review of "The Wizard of Oz" it will be on the 1939 one. A friend of mine belonged to the Wizard of Oz Fan Club back in the '60's and has alot of interesting things that I could use, so it's on my to do list. Thanks again for your wonderful comments and kindness! Dale.

Wow you have a great list of movies that are my favourites as well. Try "Random Harvest" (1942) with Ronald Colman and Greer Garson. Great movie. I watched this as well as the series with my grandparents. My grandmother would have been about the age of Erin in the film in '33 while my grandfather would have been a few years older than Johnboy. They met and married a few years later in 1940. It was a great opportunity for me to connect with them and inspired a lot of discussion between us about those times. My grandmother scoffed a bit about the family claiming to be poor, when she herself was most of the time living out of a truck with her dad and two of her siblings, and literally on the brink of starving because work and money was so scarce. They were happy if they get a squirrl and did a lot of back door begging for bread and bacon fat.

I loved your focus on Wilder and all of the amazing history connected to her life. Her books were amazingly successful. I enjoy your recollections, they always add a pleasant dimension of nostalgia. Hi Dale! I absolutely love the train tunnel perspective at the start of the vid. Great effect, it pulls the viewer right in. I've seen this classic gem. It offers great thrills and plenty of suspense. It's one of Hitchcock's early films. Orson Welles was right in calling it a masterpiece. The novel by John Buchan is an excellent read. It equals the entertaining pace of the movie. The history portion is very classy, solidly informative and reveals the thrust of your good research. You really do your homework! Dale, thanks for all of the great work. Take good care of yourself. Have a beautiful weekend. By the way, would you consider producing a video focused on North by Northwest?

I rank this and Rear Window as my favourite Hitchcock movies. The crofter's wife cameo is surely the greatest cameo in cinema history. If this movie was all Hitchcock had done, he would still have deserved his fame. I show it whenever I get the opportunity to introduce someone to Hitchcock. It is thrilling, moving, funny - and the model for all later chase movies and wrong-person-in-bad-situation movies. North by Northwest is its obvious first copier, and that in turn became the close model for the finest James Bond movie From Russia with Love and the Indiana Jones movies.
