Yes, it will work without any issues. They only recommend placing it in the center for full coverage, but it can work in any location on the court.

If you are reading this and considering the XBotGo Chameleon, do not buy it. I made the mistake of paying $479 and purchasing it with the 13' tripod to record soccer. It stopped working within less than 30 days. Their customer support team has been EXTREMELY unhelpful. Buyer beware.
