Nice. What material are the builders using? I built one years ago with the original Depron but I hear its replacement is unsuitable for models😒
@MrWaz1128 күн бұрын
Well I believe that this is it's replacement. It is more brittle and probably not as flexible, but as we have shown can still be used. We have two colours: black and white. Black is heavier than the white but stronger. We are using 6 mm sheets.
@hinterkress28 күн бұрын
@@MrWaz11 And it's still sold as Depron??
@MrWaz1128 күн бұрын
@hinterkress No. It is described as 'eXtruded polystyrene foam' in sheets 1000mm by 400mm. We got ours from a supplier in Australia called 'Foamie Flyers' who says that he imported them. I don't know the original source.

I fly this plane since 2018 no issues with wing mount system. As what I see during landing approach in my opinion way to fast, I come in with full flaps and way slower to land gently on the mains and bleed of speed, practise practise and practise more....Hans

"Dropped quick" or flown into the ground?
@MrWaz11Ай бұрын
I think that it was flown into the ground, but fortunately lots of soft vegetation and probably low angle would have reduced the impact because it is still flyable.

Hello mate, wonderful job on the lanc... did you have to scale up the plans? I'm going to try build one this size and add a few scale additions.. Any specs on your build would be much appreciated.. escs in nacelles? Many thanks

hello great plane ! did you giv the Motor upthrust? if yes how many degrees?
@MrWaz11Ай бұрын
Hi, I just spoke to the builder and he says that he doesn't have any upthrust, but that it could do with some.
@graemenicholls7802Ай бұрын
@@MrWaz11 I just double checked the plans. I gave it 2 degrees relative to the fuselage datum. It probably would need a lot more to counteract the pitch trim change with power. I kept it close to scale.

To be honest, I doubt a fully assembled, 3D printed model such as this, would survive the trip, not to mention the cost! Check out this RCGroups thread and hopefully, you will find someone closer, who can print it for you.
