6:35 I think these buildings are there because there are 2 ways to get to the 3 witches and one of them contains a balcony or at least an area where you can see the surroundings from the estate. I think from this point you can see these buildings.

How do you get into this scenario?

I actually got around the gate in UC by getting to the very top of the building where you pass through the hole as you come into the city on a flight master. Apparently, there's a little path you go to on the right and if you keep going for a little bit I was able to bypass the gates where you were locked into as a horde player (and even break into the Sewers). That's cool that you found this method as an Alliance player though! Edit: The way to jump out is at 5:28. If you infernal strike up to one of those pillars and fly over to the other side that's how you can break out from the gate and get into the Sewers in the Horde Scenario. Hope that helps!

Glad you went back to try this! You do indeed do stuff in the gated off part of the Undercity, but only at the start of the Horde side of the scenario. You get sent above ground via a portal once you've done the first part, which is why the elevators were blocked off entirely. There does seem to be a goldmine of exploration hidden in the random one-off scenarios you find here and there, so I'm definitely interested in seeing more. Great job!

You can get in there in retail, I've been in there but you have to be dead to do it. You fly in and get as close to the elevators as you can, hopefully right in front of one of the doors. You see nothing is happening, the green mist will kill you you then run back to your body and you'll see the elevators are functioning perfectly normal, the doors are opening and closing. You then go though one of the doors onto the elevator platform and then rez. BOOM, you're alive inside old Undercity. The only restriction is, you can't go into the thrown room. It'll see you as you're in Silverpine Forest and autoport you out.

Should've tried the back entrance to Undercity, the cave tunnels, or went to explore Quel'thalas (its behind Stratholme), curious if it was touched at all, or if it too is missing its buildings!

Great memories of doing these invasions. I LOVED fighting on the different planets. It was a great way to illustrate just how unbelievably huge a threat the Burning Legion really was. Just one more thing that made Legion feel so epic and impactful.

Lol. I'm glad I'm not the only one exploring these areas, it's my favorite "hidden" zone to just sit and afk in. Did this with Sunwell Plateau, Old Hillsbrad Foothills, Hyjal Summit, and Ulduar also.

DO NOT TRY THIS IN CATA CLASSIC. Does not work and will bug your character.. I couldn't die by drowning and had to go to the fatigue zone that instantly killed me. The spirit respawned where i died and my corpse was in glineas. The character was completely bugged out with the camera not attached to the character. I couldn't see where i was going and the area is full of invisible walls, and it's impossible to return to the corpse. Clicking "return to graveyward" only show a message in chat " the fate of Glineas has not been decided. You cannot escape yet." Logging out and back in make you respawn where u died like you never moved and the only thing that worked was to use the Unstuck Character and i already used it before and had to wait 3 hours for the cooldown..

EPL/WPL actually got a bit of an overhaul in cataclysm

I used to use levitate and you could walk right around most hilled areas without falling. Was great for Fellwood reaching the little village between Fellwood and Darkshore you fly over in the flight paths.

Shadowlands / Bastion storyline has a scenario that takes you to Redridge, and all you need is a bit of speed to get out to avoid a teleport. Message comes on screen saying to return, but if you get out of bounds quick enough it stops. I've gone far out enough from there to explore stormwind, but then got into a disconnect loop entering the water near sunken temple, not touched it again since.

A lot of this has some updated cataclysm stuff in it. Western plague lands for example wasn’t green like that in the western part of it until cata.

Also if you haven’t already can you do Old Hillsbrad Foothills in the Caverns of Time?
