Doesn't your bike have a kill switch... My 2stoke used to do that every time it rained so I used the kill swich or crash

Unless there is turbo on that ENGINE it is not a runaway in the coventional sense. Throttle stuck on the carbeurator most likely..

"Runaway motor" pretty much describes how you ride a 2 stroke.

I had this happen with an old Harley Davidson, my solution in the moment was to put the front tire against the nearest heavy object then put it in gear and drop the clutch to stall it.

You can put ur hand over the exhaust and it will kill it. Had this happened to me a few times on my 1981 tri Moto 125.

Uf you pulled plug wire it would have shut off that's dumb. Wtf is point of plug wire if it don't need it. Try pulling fuel line off next time. Bet it still runs that way too. 😂😂

Stuck throttle cable or carb. Gas engines can't run max rpm without wide-open throttle. Diesel runs on injector pump gear driven in engine so higher rpm more fuel. Gas don't do that.

Had this problem with a old Elsinore 250 many years ago. Turned out the crank seal was bad and sucking air in the bottom end of the crankcase. Replac3d the seal and she ran like a scolded dog.

That happened to me i rode it. I put on coke and just shifted a gear or 2 until back home then i made it stall. Base gasket

It appears your throttle cable was pinched. Its happened a few times...check the cable for any kinks.
