Yes 100% agreed here -- I had a dial-type Seiko metronome back in the 1990s and it was simple, didn't have a horrible chirpy noise, AND it was loud enough that I could hear it! Modern ones tend to sound painfully chirpy AND/OR cannot be heard over the noise of me (and possibly others) playing our instruments. Cannot understand why modern ones have regressed in that sense, other than maybe cost savings.

This is what I've been looking for! Simple controls and a super-pleasant non-annoying click sound. Perfect example of "less is more". Other metronomes do not come nowhere near this one and this is exquisite.

I understand this is an old video, I am looking at this because this along with the Behringer GMX series are both some of the few stereo combo amps. Anyway, do you think this one can hold up to say Peavey Bandit in terms of sound?

I've been playing around 13 years , never bothering to learn basic shit, even notes. But just recently come to the realization that it's a must and this is a great starting point and simple enough for me to understand , thank you. It's hard to find good teachers that can present the material in way others can understand. 👍👍.

It's one of the pitfalls of using exclusively tab, I think. I was initially taught guitar through tabs...and I know a lot of people who learn that way. Sometimes you need to take a step back and go beyond the numbers.

This is excellent. I've been looking at how to approach different sequences in runs so great to have some pointers. Out of interest how long do you practice for and how many years have you been playing?
@Chainsawmaniacguitar
@Chainsawmaniacguitar 3 жыл бұрын
I started playing probably around the year 2000/2001, and I try to practise for at least half an hour most days (more if I can help it). There was a period where I was practising for around 8 hours a day! I'm definitely not saying that crazy practise routines are necessary to play well, though! You can do a lot with an hour of good, focused practise time.

Soo answers nothing to me....the IBZ 8 pick up suck....no surprize there for the price...But more importantly does it hold tuning the headstock looks cheap too...has no locked in head thats a real potensial problem with 8 or 10 strings....i dont get them being used to shred...is a waste of its harmonic potensial.
@Chainsawmaniacguitar
@Chainsawmaniacguitar 3 жыл бұрын
First of all, I have gigged with this guitar playing songs from 'the greatest showman' so no worry about shred there! Haha Secondly, I sometimes have slight tuning issues with the thickest string, but then I tune that down to an E (octave below the usual low-E string), so it might be something to do with that. It's not like that string gets used for most things anyway! The 7th string (B) is usually low enough.

I don't understand music, or why this kind of sound is so rare. It's probably not a happy tone, but I think it would make sense in a lot of situations.

@Chainsawmaniacguitar
@Chainsawmaniacguitar 3 жыл бұрын
Are you asking for fret numbers? I think it's better if you learn your note positions, and the scale (locrian, in this case). Then, you wont need the numbers.

You have to just work out how many notes fit in the beat, and which parts of the beat you're playing on. If you can feel the groove that you're playing to, or the original has drums then that should give you a head start.

There is a bit of tab for the first few scales. There are also note position charts in the ebook. As I explain in the book, the tab isn't all the way through because the idea is that you learn where the notes are on the guitar neck.
