Fantastic scene. What always confused me about it though is Babish’s line that Abby is “not a medical expert”. She’s a doctor, so surely she IS a medical expert! At the least she is more than qualified to prescribe medication, which is the subject here. Never was sure what he was saying with that bit.

Anyone else ever read “Q In Law” by Peter David? It was set on Picard’s Enterprise, instead of Janeway’s Voyager, but this episode always reminds me of it. In the book, Q falls in love with Lwaxana Troy, who convinces him to give her Q powers, which she eventually uses to teach him a lesson…….suddenly, violently and all over the whole ship. Meanwhile, in the sub-plot Wesley is given a love slave. Best story line ever! I laughed so hard my sides were sore. They*really* should have filmed that one.

West Wing was great. But I will always say, as a fan of Aaron Sorkin, no one said the word Yes in his shows (Sports Night, WW, Newsroom). It was always Yeah. Not sure if this was to make them sound more glib. But there are no Yeses in a Sorkin script. This scene is 4:21 long. 7 yeahs. That's almost 2 "Yeah"s per minute. Insane!!!

I watched 15 minutes of one episode of this crappy show. I remember Jeff Daniels discussing how fantastic unions are. Unions are great for the people in them. The teachers union for example. They got two years of vacation during Covid while parents got to pay for childcare because the teachers had a union, so they didn't have to work. Very powerful union. Parents and daycare centers? No union. Jeff Daniels and the show are idiotic

I remember the first time I saw Olivia Munn. I was eating lunch and watching TV in Iraq. I looked up to see her dancing with a dead fish. I was disturbed but intrigued.

That's exquisite writing! She didn't just go and said: "I am pregnant". That literalness would be bad writing. Sorkin is among the best in this industry.

Jed had what was (at least to him) a genuine calling to become a priest, but he set it aside when he met her - understandable.
