Da gefällt mir wirklich das gesamte Paket! Ein toller und schlüssiger Inhalt der Box, aber eben auch was du daraus gezaubert hast! Auch wenn die Schöne etwas heilig daher kommt (😅😅😅), so zieht es einen doch irgendwie in seinen Bann... Schöne Idee, ganz anders als die Werke von der aktuellen Künstlerin der Box 😊

Ich fande die ecoline Stifte besser als andere Farben, die wir schon in anderen Boxen hatten. Sie lassen sich jetzt besser mit Wasser vermalen und sind auch trocken noch gut anlösen.

I like this follow up to your Oberon. The wash has that nice immediacy and brightness that watercolor provides. I guess it is like a gouache, it can be transparent and opaque. I used gouache in art school (about 40 years ago) and found it very tricky to work with.

Sweet drawing of the forest guardian Oberon and his woodland friends. Your skillful use of subtle shading and tones made him stand out very nicely from the solid black background. I rarely mix graphite and charcoal. Graphite has a metallic grayish sheen while charcoal is pure black and in my experience don't really mix well.

@@Johnny_01-f7b i never really got into charcoal, because it was to messy and to expensive. Though i never went through any schooling when it comes to art, i normaly just used what was cheep or at hand 🤣. But at least this way i still have quite the amount of supplies to learn about.

Dein Bild ist großartig. Ich mag ihren leicht verträumten Blick. Die Zusammenstellung der Box finde ich persönlich super. Sie ist bislang mein Favorit aus den letzten 9 Boxen, die ich abboniert habe. 😊

She is a lovely doll. I had no idea how much work went into painting a doll's face, maybe because I don't mess with make-up on myself. I enjoyed seeing how the hair and eyelashes are done. I am impressed by your patience.

I believe the hairstyle is called a pompadour. I love what you did with her!! ❤

@@Siennaflower i now had to try to Research it. Most just called it a Marie antoinette hairstyle, one i found is a pouf wich sounds about right. I am not sure with the pompadour, because as far as i know a bag was called a pompadour after Madame de pompadour, it only became a hairstyle later. But i am not sure to be honest 😅

I never used clay before but I need to make her for my Donna cosplay. I wanted first to buy a doll and make something out of her by painting and cutting the limbs, however I couldn’t find any good dolls that would fit her vibe. Any tips for a newbie in clay, and stupid mistakes to avoid? ^_^’

@@friskflowerfell9689 as stupid as it sounds, trust the process and don't give up 😅 i whould start with cheap air dry clay and make some test sculpts, just to get a feel for it. Make your hands wet to smooth it out, wrap a damp towel around it if you want to take a break, look at it from multiple angles and definetly use aluminium foil as a base 🤣 when i carry my angie around to show her to friends i sometimes fear my arms will fall of if i carry her for to long 🤣🤣🤣

@friskflowerfell9689 where in europe are you, if i am allowed to ask? Yes my girl is around 5 kg i think. When you carry her for longer periods it is quite heavy 😅

@friskflowerfell9689 it definetly whould, thats why i whould use aluminium foil in the Center, and a rather thin layer of clay. I hoped you might be german, then i maybe could have helped you 😅. You could always put Straps into her back, so you can wear her like a backpack 😅

So schlecht sieht das Bild nicht aus, die Feen sind sehr süß. Eine Box alle 2 Monate finde ich gut. Man hat mehr Zeit mit dem Material zu arbeiten und es reduziert die Kunstmaterialien die dann rumliegen, weil es nicht meins ist. Ein wenig mehr Informationen in der Box wären wirklich gut. Zum einen, was man mit den Materialien alles noch machen kann, als auch der Künstler, der die Box „gepackt“ hat, was er damit gemacht hat und wie er damit arbeitet. Das kommt gerne mal ein wenig zu kurz. Gespannt bin ich nun wie es bei Upcrate weiter geht.

@Renate-kreativ die bottlepost ist genau genommen nur das was sie zuletzt im Internet hatten ausgedruckt. Bevorzuge ich nach wie vor, aber n bisschen mehr wäre schön. Bin halt mega gespannt wie sie sich verändern wenn die upcrate alle zwei Monate kommt. Vielleicht macht es sie dann ja wirklich besser.

@@kitsidale because of the shelf being rather short (18 cm, something around 7 inches i think) they get enough light, fake ones should be enough 😜

Beide Bilder sind total gut geworden. Nach 1 Jahr upcrate habe ich jetzt auch mal die scrawl-box bestellt. Bin gespannt. Eigentlich hat mir die upcrate box auch sehr gefallen- aber die Anleitungen könnten meist ausführlicher sein. Was wären wir da ohne Dich …! 🍀

Gauche is watercolour, just with more pigment. Im a bit confused about the eyes.

@@kitsidale because your comment did confuse me slightly, because i did notice a difference i looked it up and according to what i found is that you have chalk mixed into gouache, otherwise it is more or less the same as watercolor.

It broke my heart when I heard she was setting aside the dress ... I understood why she chose to, but I could not agree. I learned so much history through her research, things I would never have known concerning the 'abuse' of India under the British. Just making people aware was a type of penance, in my mind. Oh well ... guess we'll have to admire the dress in the museum, for as long as it lasts.
