I swear I remember Brimstone being so much better when I played as a kid. Then again, my PS2 was messed up in the sense that I was never able to unlock Minion, even though I met the requirement, so maybe it messed up the characters a bit 😅 Now, I can’t stand him. Love the car design, love the idea of the special, but execution of everything is just wrong. Shadow would be an A tier character for me, but that’s just in general. I haven’t tried speed running, but I could see it being a slower run, as she’s pretty average stats. The hearse lured me in as a kid, so it could also be that I made myself learn how to excel with her lol. Axel I love the design and concept, wish they had stayed with the story line of it being his son rather than his wife, but his stats and special are soooo underwhelming. When I see him, Roadkill, and Warthog on the map, they become my main target because of how infuriating they are! Darkside I wish her special was stronger. I wish it was easier to carry out the T-Slide bonus. You really have to be completely sideways and hitting them with basically the whole side, from my experience. Could be a player issue though. Roadkill I had NO idea about the switching weapons and saving the special! I’ve been playing it since it came out and never knew this! Wild. Thank you!! Brb, gonna go truly dominate the game with Roadkill. Crazy 8 I feel is an accurate representation of No Face being a boxer. He’s very much a quick dodge and strike vehicle. When you figure out his special secrets, he becomes a very much slept on car. Extremely impressed with your Richochet Bank Shot ability! Subbing to watch more of your TM content. I would love to see more tier lists and longer explanation videos! Subscriber 213!

Damn this game, I've been trying to do speedrunning a few times in the past couple weeks and you can Lord can have it lol. I'm cool with online. You're right, I've played enough now on all the difficulties to know that yeah any small mistake is everything. You guys got the story mode down so fast that if anyone want to speedrun tmb you have to get the first 3 level down in under 3 mins and perfably under 2.30. Minion has to show all panels an not run hiding his rear one. Then the rest of the game is just. Tell you what I know you have to hit all rets, sats and specials. It's honestly too much with RNG just saying nope. Awesome run tho junk is top tier always it seems.

I still always recommend that there is an attempt given, I don't blame you for disliking it as the AI have the worst tendency to make everything a pure fucking hassle. Especially when 90% of runs die before or at Minion so the rest of the maps are hardly played. Hell even with this run I was still upset at the end instead of happy with the bad luck on Skyscrapers. Glad to hear you did give it a shot and hope your times were pretty good!

@@dollmask2390 I can consistently get the game beat on hard and medium around 22 to 24 mins but there is just to many mistakes every time. Like If I don't get junkyard in under 3 I just restart. I think even tho prison sucks its nice to have that break before the ship docks. I use MS all the time to cuz I was trying to at least claim 3rd for medium but it's going to a bit before I try it again.

@@BEHEMOTH_MANSLAUGHTER Those times are pretty good Behemoth my fellow 🪨 chucking buddy. You’re not wrong though this game does kinda force you into really mitigating your runs into only a few minor mistakes, or one major mistake if you want to get a time close to WR pace, especially on Hard. The 2nd half of the run can be a bit of an RNG fuckfest, but hey if you get a big time save earlier on you can usually overcome a little bit of bad luck. Unlike a certain other game I tend to speedrun a bit 👀 (TM2 Moment). It’s always good to take breaks and come back. Hell, compared to when I started speedrunning, I’ve significantly cut down on my play sessions overall and will just use my free time for other things on the days when I do speedruns and they go poorly. Never feel the need to force yourself to do it my friend.

The joys of the Snowy Roads mines where half of the fucking AI just drove off but anything to make things easier. Especially when dying to minion is so easy and losing the environmentals is common. There needs to be some backup plan so people dont think their run is ruined. I know there is a lot more situational stuff I could have shown like M-slaught/Darkside on Loop or bigger cars vs minion but I think people should learn their playstyle rather than have me tell them theirs.

@@dollmask2390 Hey it made for a great gag. Shows how random the ai on there can be in real time. I’m sure a lot of people even outside of speedruns will be happy to abuse it so as not to deal with this stage normally. They’ll figure this stuff out naturally as they go along. You gave them all the necessary building blocks now it’s their choice what theyll create with them. Maybe they’ll gravitate towards the big cars naturally and we’ll get even more Dankside appreciators 👀.

What is you controll setup? The quick truning and subtle breaking happens so fast that it cant be default controll set

It is default, the best way I can describe how I drive is sometimes I just let off the gas, never full hold it down. I use Turbo every time I drive forward and release Square to press X EVERY TIME I turn. I almost never push both at the same time. Also I use D-pad when turning. I hate the way analog feels.

Im working on a video explaining it in better detail but I pick Suburbs to stock up on Environmentals, Downtown is much faster and lets you grab a bunch of power missiles for Minion, and Snowy Roads you can insta-kill enemies or they fall off on their own. Drive in has nowhere near enough weapons to kill quickly unless you somehow save a lot from Prison

@@tumate45 Brimstone is always first because his special and ability to kill is awful. Since you need all maps and unlockables using a car that can't make good time do the dirty work is good so the strong cars can save time. As for the order, driving all small cars first then heavy cars or vice versa helps with keeping yourself familiar with the pace instead of swapping repeatedly.
