great content! i have a question: i don't see that pain points part and solution part are aimed to improve Retention, it seems that this totally apply to "Engagement" /improve active user amount/ improve new user amount Purpose. will you please enlighten me?

Sharing some more ideas: 1. Provide customised newsfeed using filters (this will help me pick more funny posts to improve my mood after a stressful day or motivating post in the morning to start my day) 2. Sometimes long posts have many reactions but user is lazy to read but want to know what it says in short. So linkedIn can provide short summary using AI for long posts 3. A new section to write about books you read in profile section (related to your role or business or communication, this will help people to show off their knowledge and strangers to start a conversation based on common interests) 4. Introduce emojis in reactions like ‘All the best’ (for new job post), Take care (for layoff or sad posts) Please provide me feedback for these ideas. Thanks!

Good logic but I think by bringing in event distribution he complicated a bit and people not with Math background can get lost a bit.

good approach to solving the metric question. Please have background music at very low volume. It is unpleasing.

The question i guess was calculate the no. of queries answered by google per second worldwide. I'd like to know the logic behind you estimating the internet penetration in china and Russia since they are not using google product. i'm kinda curious and lost.

I think background music is the main reason for low views on this channel. Once your brain notices background music the first time, it can't go back to focussing on the narration again and video becomes unwatchable. Seems like even good Product Brains can also make blunders.

Great channel with great videos. Much better structure and explanation than other famous channels like Exponent and Product School. Unlike direct solutions given by other channels, candidates can use the structure given in these videos and apply to other questions as well. Keep doing the good work. Hope you are not dissuaded by less no of likes and views. We'll keep recommending this channel in our network to bring more traffic to the channel.

Great video - Two pieces of feedback - (1) I would actually prioritize one of the problems instead of picking all of them. This gives the opportunity to go deeper into a single area, further narrowing down (2) I think the metrics stated in the end was incorrect. The goal was to improve retention of new users so the metric should be engagement activity from returning users , not necessarily orders correct?

Not a 10/10 solution. When was the last time you visited a physical library ? What do you think will happen in 10 years to a physical library if this is the situation today ? Your answer has a good structure but lacks creativity. As a Microsoft Product Manager who interviews people, I can tell you that you will score low on creativity.

This should be the easiest question ever, lot of things has to be improved in LinkedIn
@prod-school
@prod-school 3 жыл бұрын
That is exactly the point Eshwar. It doesn't matter what improvements you tell, its how you arrive at the answer that matters. In reality, a lot of factors like Competition, Leadership Vision, Industry Trends etc. go into identifying what features to build next. How you arrive at that answer in a 45 min interview is what will make or break it for you in the PM Interview. Hope that clarifies.

In reality, obviously. However, the intent of such questions is to check your back of the napkin calculations and what process you take to arrive at the final number, what approximations you made, what questions you asked the interviewer, etc.

The structure is really good but I didn't get the understanding of the solution like how if we voice search where the search will happen? Nearby libraries or it will act like a Google ?
@prod-school
@prod-school 3 жыл бұрын
@Sucheta, this is literally the goal of the exercise we have been advocating - critically thinking even the solutions. When I said Voice search, the idea was an interconnected system to libraries user is a member of, where they can query if a particular title is available. But again, how you positioned your question is EXACT what your interviewer will ask you when you put forward the voice-capability solution, and then based on the use case, you have to critically think and answer in a way that is to the satisfaction of you and your interviewer. Developing this exact skill is what truly brings the product sense into prospective candidates, and hence KEEP ON PRACTICING. Cheers!!
