The prophecy is for the prince who was promised. Prince. Not king. I just realized that the other day. People jump to too many conclusions about prophecies instead of paying attention to what was said. He's definitely the Song of Ice and Fire. Carries both the Stark and the Targaryen bloodlines.

and yes, the North made him king temporarily, but from their belief that he is a Stark. They were mistaken. He was never crowned king as a Targaryen.
