I've got the 500watt version in my campervan. Works great for charging my laptop, camera batteries and powering the coffee grinder. My wife's request, the 500watt inverter is being swapped out for a 3000watt unit to run the espresso machine.

I agree with the holes you drilled in the side walls, but you could save the effort of having to cut the slits in the bottom of the pit by simply placing a couple of nails in between the plates where they meet in the middle when you assemble the pit, so it leaves a small gap in between them. It'll save some structural integrity of the plates as they're only 2mm thick and already prone to warping with high temps.

Very nice! I love this setup, you did a great job and I believe you've saved a lot of money which is a smart way to do nowadays. I refused to buy from RV Dealers, they are nothing but crooks, every RV they sell are way overpriced and if you noticed they don't have the small ones that are cheaper on the lots, all they carry is the most expensive one. Dirty crooks, I can't stand them. But I like what you did, save tons of money for sure! Keep it up my friend! 😊👍

Hi can you say how many panels you connected to this control, and if those panels were connected in parallel or series? And how many batteries you are charging and how they are connected parallel or series. That 20 amps is in regards to amps going through the controller to batteries right?

I bought a Dune one for $99 on special I think quality is slightly better but you can’t go wrong with any of these , just wait til they go on special.

Good review mate and a lot of good tips to keeping them in reasonable order. I agree, for the price, its hard to beat & while they may not be as well engineered as others, but if they are set up properly, you are a testament to them being able to live the test of time. Like & sub. Cheers

Seems like airflow is definitely a problem.

you dont get garden dirt in your fuel from a service station. water condensation build up in tanks sludge and micros build up over time. its supposed to get break that stuff down. and lubricate your diesel pump. i use and are going to keep using it. it also prolongs the life of your fuel.

I’ve seen $200k+ set ups with a kings awning, if you set them up properly you’ll have No problems the Aluminium Knuckles are better then the Nylon knuckles you get on the Bigger brands IMHO.

should add iron rust as well

Main issue i experienced was the rivets on the main frame failed along the entire length after driving on corrugated roads. I ended up installing small nuts and bolts in their place and no problems in years since.
