Bravo to all! Great solos, Chris! 👍 Surely playing live concerts is more satisfying. I have not had occasions to do it since 2019, and even then it was with a Pop/Rock cover band that had too many songs not of my liking (mostly old melodic Italian songs). At the moment, I do collaborations with 2 (sometimes 3) "virtual bands" with many long distance friends (mostly from Poland and USA, but from other nations too). With one of these bands we too are preparing a Pink Floyd cover, for Comfortably Numb. Greetings!

This reminds me of a guy I was in a band with in the UK back in the late 70s and early 80s called Toby Martin. He could play all the Schenker stuff note perfect at 17. An absolute prodigy. He had custom built De Whalley white V which was beautiful. He was literally almost better than Schenker. Played in a number of name bands later on.

...I had already commented this one when it was published, but here I am again! Today I have showed my brother some of your videos: this one and other two Van Halen covers, a Y&T and a MSG cover and the most recent Whitesnake cover (a half an hour of Chris Vye videos)! My brother (guitarist 66 years old, it's him who made me play bass in 86 and I am still thanking him today for this! 😃) is not one who writes comment on KZbin, he never does, but I wanted to let you know that he too appreciates your playing very much! (so not just one D'Ambrosio, but two! 😆) He likes that often you make your personal versions of the solos but they still fit very well with the songs. So I say Bravo from him too, this time! 👍 And, of course, he likes that bunch of beautiful guitars around you! Greetings (from him too)!

@@lylahale5284 You are correct of course, I did rush the intro and have made a note to slow it down next time. it is naturally a very long intro and as we often have short rehearsal times to fit many songs into... Hi my friend... guitar is Gibson 70s tribute flying V... pickups are 70s tribute for this guitar and like a hot wound PAF. Amp wise im going straight into my recording gear using a line 6 hx stomp and im also using a boss eq pedal to add that cocked wah element to the sound... mostly boosting 800hz ish. Delay and reverb i added in the recording software. I use Magix audio studio. Hope that helps. Thanks for the comment.

Always great playing, Chris! Bravo as always! Your interpretations of the songs are always great, and adding some personal touch to them it's a good thing. Me too would not be able to replicate the songs note-for-note, as some players do. We do our versions! And also great choice of song. Many know Europe mostly for those 2 or 3 songs from The Final Countdown, but they have made a lot of great songs both before it and also after. ...that guitarist at 1'10" is not a member of Europe, I think... 🤔... Not Norum, not Marcello... But I have already seen him somewhere... Greetings!
@ChrisVye9 ай бұрын
Thanks so much Sergio, very glad you liked it. I agree about doing a personal version. The original is perfect so for me doing a 100% recreation is pointless. You are right about the guitarist... he wasn't in Europe is its me from the 80s... lol Greetings to Italy!

@@ChrisVye Yes, I was joking because I remember that I had already saw that "not recent" photo of yours! Regarding the backing tracks, do you already know an useful app named Moises? I sometimes use it to isolate the bass (and then trying to learn what it is doing), and later I use it for making a backing track without bass for my bass covers.

@@ChrisVye I (being a Scrooge😆) use the free version that has some limitations (only 5 songs each month and not longer than 5 minutes or the remaining part is cut), but it's still very useful. It works with frequences and separates the song in 4 tracks: voice, drums, bass and "other" that is guitars, keyboards, violins, etc. Then it is possible to save a track with or without some instruments and use it as backing track. Sometimes it has good results, sometimes a bit less good.

Yeah! Chris is back! 👍 Great playing! ...in truth it's been a long time since I listened to this song, but I don't think that Tim needs apologies, because you played a great version of his solo! ...and, after all, there's nothing bad in doing our own versions without totally replicating the originals. Classical musicians would not agree, probably, but Rock is a totally different situation. So, awesome job this time too! Greetings!
