They caricatured the group well with the exception of the drummer, John Petersen, who had blonde hair and a handsomer face. In fact, he looks way too much like Ringo in this and that might have been intentional, in order to give the San Francisco-based group a more British Invasion association. Declan Mulligan was from Fethard, County Tipperary, Ireland (just a few miles west of where my great-grandmother was from in Upper Ballywalter). Another boo-boo is that Ron Elliott is portrayed singing the lead when it was actually Sal Valentino (with the tambourine) who was the lead vocalist. I wonder if this recording of Laugh, Laugh was specially done for this Flintstones episode or whether it was an alternate take used for the purpose. It definitely reveals well the bass line played by Ron Meagher. The back cover of the group's second album portrays more accurately the group as Flintstones cameos, albeit minus Declan Mulligan who had left the band. Still, it's a great clip to see despite some discrepancies only anal-retentive Felix Ungers like me would even bother to point out.

Danny Hutton just previously to becoming a member of the Three Dog Night (his solo song Roses and Rainbows 1965) also appeared briefly on the Flintstones as he was another artist on the H&B record label

The Flintstones is what introduced me to the Beau Brummels. I remember back in the early 2000s, "Laugh Laugh" was on the radio. When I said it's The Beau Brummels, my dad asked me how I knew that, and I told him they were on The Flintstones.

Great Underrated Mid-60's Song. But with that said, this premise we are presented with doesn't quite make sense. Middle-Age Married Wives rarely go crazy over Young Rockstars.

If the Beatles recorded this perfect pop gem it would have been an ever bigger international hit song. The song was produced by some young unknown aspiring 21-year-old genius named Sylvester Stewart, who the world would soon find out about his own brilliant music when he decided to call himself the one and only Sly Stone!

REALLY SAD most under age 60 (GenX, Millenials, GenZ) are not observant/clueless about what happened in 1965, a time teens could LAUGH, DANCE, MORE OPTIMISTIC about their futures! Seemingly not so for today's unhappy, under-educated, artificial machine-embracing, shorter life expectancy teens and young adults.

Like several other commenters, I first watched this as a child, and that was my intro to the BBs. The melodies in this song immediately penetrated me, and they've stayed with me all these years. And they flow perfectly. The singer tells the story with the first. The second (the "laugh laugh" part) is more exuberant. The third ("Oh so lonely") is quieter, introspective, and forlorn. Each melody is catchy, and all together flow into a full experience. This really is a great song.
