it's a slow machine, indecent IQ adjustment, software full of bags... I wouldn't buy it again if I could go back.

We purchased one of these six month ago and have had nothing but problems with it, with very little support from Konica Minolta.

Just found out that our 6100 sometimes does a false code warning about a full waste toner box. You have to restart the machine.

We have had one in our shop for a few years now. Constant software updates that the Tech has to come in and install and every update has added more and more down time. There are three machines in the Area, Syracuse, Buffalo and two in the Rochester area and all of them are constantly down. Even though the Tech is local to us we always have to wait at least 2 to 3 days for a service call. Our customers are getting fed up with the extra time they have to wait for a job Not to mention the extra stress on the operators with trouble shooting. Keep in mind when this press prints duplex it tumbles the sheet and the paper has to be almost perfect for it to go threw without it jamming, curled or wavy text stock, forget it it won't run good. The feeder is set up to load paper in length, someone at Konica thought this was a great idea, obviously whom ever made that decision has no hands on print shop experience even though it maintains a smaller footprint in doing so, the error rate on paper feeding is doubled. The service contract is insanely expensive, there is allot of operator maintenance that has to be done weekly and if your shop is a busy shop you'll be spending at least 6 to 8 hours a week doing it. Keep in mind I have over 20 years of Lithography experience and 15 in the Digital field. having said that the press produces good color quality and the way the operator can set up the scanning of jobs it's almost start it and forget it until the job is complete, which for us is maybe 2 out of 5 jobs on average. The Machine is what we pressmen call a Boat anchor, it's plagued with many bad design flaws from feeding to the delivery. However it is nice running 6 up letter size pieces instead of 2 on the Nexpress, or any other smaller format digital press. We are looking heavily at other options for a larger sheet format digital press because this is not a good option.
