I got the book and I’m going to probably read some today and the rest tomorrow. But so far, I have to say my parents are two years apart and they had me when they were in their 30s and nine years later they had my younger brother who had allergies but nothing else severe. He came out to be okay 👍🏽

I was driving on the highway to visit my family out of state, in the fast lane at the time. My doggy was in the back and all of a sudden a voice said "change lanes." I thought hmmm, that's interesting. Next time the voice yelled in my head "CHANGE LANES NOW!!" I did it and as soon as I did the car in front of me swirved to avoid a huge metal ladder in the road!! I wouldn't have had time to react. Saved me and my boy ❤❤❤

I have a lingering suspicion that the misinformation of women's maternal age and the disregard of PATERNAL AGE serves the patriarchy: 1. Women are hounded with the fear that they have to "hurry up"; thereby women's financially productive years are redirected into motherhood. Basically, 2 decades (from pregnancy until the children are 18 y.o.) are spent in childcare. It puts women in perpetual financial dependence. 2. Married men at the ages of 20-40s are supported by the unpaid labor of their wives (regardless of whether the wives are working/SAHW), thereby achieving higher career attainments; meanwhile women who stay in the workforce receives no such support from their husbands. Many working wives are even burdened down by their husbands which created the "married single moms". 3. Men constantly promote that they have longer reproductive years as well as "aging like wine"; while information about how paternal age affects the child's health (schizophrenia, autism, etc.) are downplayed. This IMO serves the purpose of men being able to deceive younger women into procreating with them, not knowing that they might end up with a child who have special needs; OTOH, they make older women feel insecure that their reproductive longevity is not as high as men when in actuality it is about the same. Women should be made aware that older men have defective sperm!

You know what?? I agree with you 100%!!! 🎯🎯🎯 I think you clocked it. I would only add that it benefits the health c@re system too, when more people are born with issues that require treatments. Smdh There are too many benefits (to everyone besides women) in lying to women and men about paternal age and its connection to the outcomes of offspring. 😖

If we look at it honestly, men also prefer to be single. It's has just always been easier for them to live like they're single, even while married or in a relationship. Even if they get caught, the worst they usually have to worry about is getting left or divorced. If we get caught, we could potentially lose our lives. Also, alot of males are more respectful/fearful of other males, and may avoid messing around with a taken woman. Women are not as concerned about the wife or girlfriend finding out, so it's much easier for men to cheat. Men also have the ability to compartmentalize thier dissatisfaction with having a partner in a way that is just not possible for most women. Being with the wrong person can become all-encompassing. We feel it every minute of every day, no matter what we do or where we go. Women are also more bothered when we become aware that we are in not who our partner really wants. We take it more personally and it can really affect us in a negative way, because we see our partners as family, not just as employees, servants, breeders, etc. that's why their unhappiness is much more "tolerable" than ours for a longer time. They will never understand that we need to be completely free of their presence in order to be happy or even content, if they are not the right person.

Women tend to take care of themselves better despite being ignored by the medical community. Men on the other hand ... live risky lives, don't clean properly, don't have protected s3x, and don't eat healthy. There's also that women are often guilted into accepting uggos, weirdos, mucinex man stand-ins, man babies, and grandpa the draugr... as partners. Yuck. 😑

Robert de Niro and Al Pacino also have infants at much older ages than when Trump had Barron. Why not make fun of them too? What about Bruce Willis' kids (the ones from his current wife)? Especially if you consider that Bruce has dementia at a younger age than Trump. Make fun of his kids too! Damn... P.S. in case you don't get it, I don't make fun of those innocent kids. Take this information (i.e. effect of paternal age) as a cautionary tale for how we as women procreate - or not- but please be kind and refrain from making fun of children already born into that circumstance.

A womans eggs are as perfect as the day she was born because they are created when she is developed in the womb. A man creates his sperm daily. It is only as healthy as he is currently.

Exactly. And each time their body produces sperm, it creates a chance for a mutation to occur. This increases with age. More ppl need to know this 😭

Speaking of "natural", it's against nature for older males to pass on their genes anyway. They get driven off/KO'd by the young, stronger ones. But they only point out facts of nature when it benefits their self-serving narrative

I have a chronic illness and it sucks. I can’t work and it’s also debatable whether I’ll be able to even get on disability in the USA. If you can prevent creating another sick person you should. Not only are we often reliant on family for the rest of our lives if not physically, financially. We are also f*cking miserable being here if our condition is causing any kind of physical pain. Don’t do it! All prospective parents should get genetic testing done before even considering it.

Apparently sperm banks have always had a 35-40 YO limits. Why are we just hearing about geriatric sperm. I heard the term the first time within the last calendar year. The wide narrative was that men had no bio clock. You as a woman can be young and healthy and be at risk due to that man's old ass sperm. Disregarding this very important info, it's cruel to be at the age of a pawpaw and have a child that you might not see graduate high school. Related, there was some evidence that Viagara might help with menstrual disorders and associated conditions. But, they wouldn't fund the research. Women not being debilitated for days or weeks out of the month? Not valid. But, 80 year olds getting hard ons?? We'll devote a gagillion dollars to that. This reminded me of how in the dark ages kings blamed their wives for being unable to produce sons, when that was solely THEIR issue. So much projection
@ImaniForesterСағат бұрын
Wow, I didn't know that sperm banks have that kind of age limit! As for the geriatric sperm conversation, it's actually so hard to find these studies and articles. It's like society purposely perpetuates the idea that women's bio clocks are to blame for every issue babies are born with so they feel pressured/scared into having children younger than they may even want or plan to. OMG yes, I heard about the benefits of Viagara on menstrual pain and disorders! It's infuriating how women's issues are never prioritized, yet men's peepees get a ridiculous amount of funding yearly, because patriarchy. 🙄 And you're so right, males have been blaming women and projecting onto us for at least centuries. smh

Along with that, if you haven’t checked out that Netflix documentary horror show about I think a doctor in Colorado who put his own sperm in dozens of patients and those kids had ailments and you can see the effect of what old men offerings have on children! Women just don’t! It was a nightmare!

I was the sixth child of parents who were both 40 when I was born. I have been a professional model and have a high IQ and a masters degree with honors. However, unlike my brothers and sisters, I have dealt with lifelong asthma and severe allergies. However, I do believe there is a correlation between older fathers and health issues with children . Isn’t it funny that if there is ever ANY issue with the child it is the MOTHER who gets blamed for ‘bad genetics or being too old’-even when the woman is healthy and wasn’t old at the time of her child’s birth? 😢

When they start to play the blame game is usually when they themselves create scenarios where they want to end the relationship but they’re coward to do so , they instead try to drive you to the point where you yourself want to end the relationship so the blame of why the relationship ended doesn’t fall on them. The best thing to do is to plan on how to escape and never get in touch with such people again. Leave them and when I say leave I mean the sooner the better.

So when I was around 6 mos old we drove down to cali to show me off and then come back up to WA state. So on the way back they were trying to stop by mt St Helens and check out the activity but they were tired and i wouldnt stop crying so they kept driving.
