Thanks for sharing some niche content for the mixed game fans! Also… I would probably play J109 hhh in Archie and avoid getting married to 2 pairs (JJ99) that are unlikely to hold up or boat up. You can pick up both str8 and flush outs with 2 draws to come. Any thoughts if you’d change your course of action for future?
@YearOfTheWagerАй бұрын
It's funny that you mentioned that. When I was editing the video I wondered why I played the hand that way myself and thought maybe I should have played for the straight or the flush. I might have been thinking that if I missed my full house draw I would still have a qualifying high hand in case my opponents were drawing to a low. But I'm not sure I played it right. Thanks for the feedback.

Count your outs and multiply by 4 on flop or 2 on turn to get within 1% of your expected equity. For example a flush draw has 9 outs, Multiply the number of outs by 4 on the flop to know you have roughly a 36% to hit. On the turn you multiply your outs by 2 so you have 18% chance if you missed on the turn. Say you have a gut shot straight draw and 2 over cards and want to know the chances of hitting the straight or catchign a pair. 4 outs to catch the gut shot straight and 6 outs to catch top pair so 10 total outs, On the flop you have a 40% chance of hitting a pair or straight and on the turn you have 20% chance to connect on the river

@@YearOfTheWager one thing I'm really curious about since I assume you live in Vegas: how often is an obscure game like Razzdugi or Drawmaha 2-7 played in a mix?
@YearOfTheWager3 ай бұрын
@@HellaSmokinGMA I actually don't live in vegas anymore. However, you can usually find those games running daily. The limits are the only concern. The games I mention run daily at Resorts World for $8/$16. Sometimes you can find them at other casinos. There is also a private $80/$160 game that runs daily at RW.

The UK version "Padooki" is much better where flushes beat pairs - so all 4 cards always play ... hate this US version and 3-card hands

I hadn't heard of that version. I'll look into it. It's mainly played in the UK?

your hand histories are not really histories; (I have only watched the first 3) you don't talk about who bet, what you drew on which draw, etc. It's borderline unwatchable just seeing you talk about the RESULT of the hand with no process as to how you GOT there. I love mixed games but this was really hard to follow If you are going to do this, make better notes so we can follow the action. Thanks
@YearOfTheWager5 ай бұрын
Thanks. I actually agree. I didn't realize how hard it was going to be to take notes in mix games with the games constantly changing, trying to focus on winning the hand and then explaining to the editors who don't play poker what is going on. Promise I'm going to try to get the quality up on the hand histories but it may take a little time. Hopefully you will keep tuning in while I get there.
@CowSaysMooMoo5 ай бұрын
@@YearOfTheWager Yeah it is not easy to do. That's why the people on YT who do it well make it look effortless. hard to play, remember, take notes that are coherent and keep playing well. I tried it as well so I know.
