I love the simple tips that greatly increase the dynamics of the song. Bass can be powerful in contemporary worship.

What do I do if our worship group doesn't have a drummer? Do I play melody with the Keyboard? I also sing Bass.

Learned this for a church service in the same week, would be helpful to have a bit of tabiture rather than just going by ears and eyes but it’s doable without it

I approve of praising and worshiping the bass guitar. It's the god of instruments.

Josh Ham used a Synth Bass in this song.

If you put the Morning Glory before the SansAmp, then you could compensate for the removal of the low end in one of your programable slots.

Great video. Good reminders. Not a pick player but do move between the bridge and neck for tonal / attack / punchiness.

In 2018 this tutorial helped me get on the worship team at my church. Ran across this video again and can’t help but feel grateful that you would take the time to break down this song in such a clean way. Thank you for your obedience in what the Lord put on your heart to do in that season. I’ve been on the team for 6 years now and can’t wait to share what I’ve learned as you have. God bless you!🤘🏽

This would be a much better tutorial if it showed what note you were playing. It's sometimes difficult to tell what fret you're on

Hey man, fwiw, it’s better to place the micro synth after the compressor. The compressor will even out the transients that might cause the MS to bug out, plus a good comp will produce good sustain.

Esse timbre de microsynth aí tá legal não viu, tá faltando mais peso nos graves tá muito abelhudo...

Great video. I am browsing different synths at the moment. Would love a Moog but thinking of giving Novation a shot first. Again great content. Videos of combining the playing of this and bass guitar are great too!

Note to myself: There is a reason why he wrote: Stay in pocket with the kick (or your drummer will throw something at you, been there....). LOL Worship bass rookie here. I write down my own tabs watching your play and listening to it. I noticed that I can memorize better that way rather than just having tabs "served" by the bass player which is easier in the beginning but not as effective memory-wise. Thanx for everything I learn here!
