another great video! That said, experience will teach you about those long shots. Im 68 years old and have been archery hunting for a half a century. I’ve only taken 1 deer over 30 yards and that was last season. Be patient and let them get closer or don’t take the shot. Too much can go wrong with deer moving. Looks like the deer held steady but you really rushed that shot. You got plenty of penetration and that two inch cut did a lot more damage than a fixed blade would have done. Unfortunately it was back and unless you cut through an artery they can go a long way as you found out. Just some encouragement here, your videos are some of my favorite and you’ve taken some great deer, keep it up young man!!👍🏻👍🏻
How/which points do you count on a buck? And how many would this one have? Nice meal you've got there

Some people feel good about killing beautiful things. Some feel bad about it. I feel neither are really right nor wrong. But I do believe humans are an anomaly on the food chain

When I was younger, I didn't understand it... then I became friends with a true hunter, that hunts for food and for tradition. You get to see through their eyes how much they respect the cycle of life, how much they learn about the animal, what they eat, where they sleep, where they roam, what predators they have, how they don't waste meat, and how much they train for the perfect, humane k_llshot, and how absolutely devastated they become if the execution is not perfect. Only then you see how much they actually love animals. That's how I became a hunter. Not for sport.
