I can't install Xenserver: it shows a error message number 110 described as none. I tried both network interfaces.

Hello, can I create shared storage directly on the XenServer host, or is it necessary to use a separate device (like a Windows desktop) for SMB storage? I'm concerned about stability and best practices.

does xenserver work for other workloads not just Citrix VDI?

XS is a personal favorite and superb option for small to very larger workload virtualizations.. XenServer 8 (currently available GA) is an easy to deploy, free to download and use platform.

Thanks for the video, however, the background music (noise actually) is too loud, could you please lower the volume or remove it at all?

I have successfully installed xenserver and the windows gui. I would like to see more videos how to create a VM (missing public iso repository?), doing snapshots, backups, network and so on...

I've tried making bootable media with both diskpart and Rufus - but multiple hardware platforms just won't see the media as bootable - any suggestions?
@KatXenServer10 ай бұрын
Hello, sorry to hear that this isn't working. I'm told that tools like Rufus and diskpart can change things in the ISO when writing it to the USB. The XenServer installation ISO must be written to the USB as is without changing the bytes at all. I believe Rufus has a DD mode that might achieve this. I'm not familiar with the diskpart tool, but it may well have a parameter that does the same thing. On Linux, you can use the dd tool to create the bootable USB with no problems.
