I remember years ago when Max Roach and the J C White singers recorded "Lift Every Voice and Sing". My husband and I attended some of their rehearsals. Awesome choir!

OMG! I had no idea this was a real song! I believe I heard a rendition of it in... something & just thought it was more imitation broadway gospel. I just wish the drummer would smack that snare already. lol. Bass Play is going in!
