personally when I first listened to this album I thought it wasn't that great, but coming from a punk ska background, I give them a lot of props for coming back. after a few listens to this album it grows on you.

@ampbel

+skafan89 not good? so you'd rather more of the same. even the best (what made you a fan in 1st place) will get buried if repeated. reinvention refines only leading to the truth of a band as artist's individual contribution to the symbiotic creation of art. go listen to a robot, im sure there is an app for that

+Chris Campbell chill dude..all your artistic prespective is cool and all,but most people really liked that Mad Caddies vibe.Like Dixieland on steroids and this is like...well ,not like that.Dont get me wrong i still like it,the quality they produce is incredible.

If you haven't been a musician yourself you wont get it. But playing the same shit over and over again for years gets tiring and frustrating. People progress and change for better or for worse. No band should ever listen to anyone but themselves when it comes to their inspiration and composition of music. They do it first and foremost for themselves and their souls and then for anybody else. Also FUCK LABELS, music is music.

this is a conflicting album for me.. I have loved mad caddies old stuff for forever but this just doesn't feel right. I appreciate that they're allowed to change things up, and I find the first song very good but after that they all blend into a general country pop sound. Like something I've heard a million times on the radio. I know many people disagree,but I feel that they did in fact go very safe with each song, not taking any dares or attempts to make this a purely raw sound. Basically I'm saying this is not for me and I'm totally not bashing you if it is for you.

+Charizardous Rex I liked this album. They have developed so much as a band over the last 10 years. The Quality Softcore release was the first album which was heading in the same dierction as this album. People change dudes, so do bands. embrace the new sound, I still think they are amazing and I am enjoying the chilled tunes. In addition, I saw them live last year... they are by far the best live band I have seen, they fucking rocked.

I didnt have high expectations for this CD after keep it going. I thought that I had proven myself right after the first two listens. Eventually I just found myself playing it over and over again and I really caught on to it. It has become my favorite work from the Caddies. Just wish they would come back to NJ/NY area and play the whole cd live
