@@TheMadmacs oh, nice. I still have a session .....with a dead battery. I vowed never to buy another GoPro with a built in battery. Glad to see they gave up on the dumb design. I watched a few vids on quads the other day. Stuff has moved on. Not sure I'd know how to do all the GitHub stuff. I just bought a sony video camera - again stuff is all different now....but better. Hopefully a fun year ahead to play.

@@TobermoryCat iflight do a nice little usb to balance plug so you can fly without a battery, think i got it from unmanned tech for a few quid. i use it for the 12, quads still 700g, and thats with a 4s 1300mah!!!!

thanks for your kind words. the weather was the windiest year i can remember, i used to cycle so the wind is an old enemy i know well. great you got the neo, watch as many vids as you can for advice, and also look into free software called gyroflow. its made by fpv pilots but its so good professional cinema guys use it..... it stabilizes footage better than anything else. dont be overwhelmed, its usually got presets for every camera out there, the community basically make a preset and upload it to the gyroflow guys.

thanks man, for some reason my computer played smoothly, made it a bit easier to edit. i still call her wee cat, shes mostly deaf and can only hear high frequencies i think. she was a bit decrepit when i started feeding her, now shes a bit more comfortable but i dont think she'll ever let me pick her up. looking forward to next year, and playing with my hero 12 and gps on my drone now.

cheers man, it was a tough one, but i'm made in scotland, from griders and ootsiders. that suilven shot, i could hardly stand up and walk, the view completely had me in a trance, thought i was flying closer and just got higher, fitted gps on my drone for next year hehehe.

thanks, yeah the hero 12 is pretty amazing with colours. had a nightmare trying to add gps, found out my mamba f405 doesnt have enough uarts, and spent two days trying to figure out hd font for the v2's.... ended up just glad BF 4.5 was nice to fly on defaults

hey man, thanks, i was a wee bit scared, i hate updating software but it was all pretty good. i'm sure it will all come back to you once you open betaflight and spend an hour trying to figure out why it wont connect......(me saturday and sunday) then you'll remember impulse rc driver thingy....then you'll laugh, the you'll cry, then you'll finally get it all working a soar like bird, then you'll ditch trying to fly low. hehehe.... by the way, its an absolutely amazing time to go digital, look up v2 goggles on ebay, and runcam now sells the vista, i forget what they call it. dont buy the 03 dji stuff.

thanks, its such an other worldly place, second night was a thunderstorm over suilven!!!, fully expected a portal to another planet to open hehee. this was when the aurora was visible in glasgow....... i was in bed asleep by 9pm every night lololol.

yeah its a fantastic wee spot now, very busy with people, i lived in the greenlees estate wwhen they were built, used to cycle through the park a lot.

thanks, it was an ordeal during that hot aurora weather. i need a better plan hehe. seriously look at that dji nemo, it will give great shots with zero effort. get it from a uk store, about 170 quid, heliguy or unmannedtech. to get it to land, ... you just hold your hand out!!!!!!
