This is a terrible first boss. Being able to get hit while directly attacking, the beetle rider shooting at where you're going to be while also adapting its aim to match your dashing, the general lack of space to dodge while digging, etc. People who have beaten will tell you to go to the shop & buy more health, which is a good idea, but the only reason I beat this thing ON BASE HEALTH ALONE was because I got an extremely lucky seven hits on the boss between phases two and three, beating it after phase three. RNG is your best friend here, good luck.
