Dear Doctor I am a European citizen and I'm married with an Indian man and I live with his family. We have a newborn baby 1 month old. Please I would like to ask you something. They wake up the baby during sleeping just to wake up the baby without reason. They say " open your eyes to say hello to your uncles and your aunties" and "don't sleep all day baby" "wake up" and they put wet clothes on the baby to make him wake up just because he is sleeping. Is it normal? My baby wakes up every maximum 2 hours for breastfeeding. I explained them that at this age the baby just need sleep, milk and susu and needs this sleeping to develop his brain and body. Am I wrong? Is it normal to do like this to the baby?
