Funny fact: J.Irons speaks shaky Italian, but one of the actors playing the jailers speaks flawless Italian.

Is that Irish music that is being played but The man In The Iron Mask along with the Three Musketeers takes place in France not Ireland.? Also why didn't the Narrator also say this after he mentions The Man In The Iron Mask was taken to the Country Side to live quietly and after he mentions hiw King Louis un expectedly changed his Tyranical ways and brought his people food prosperity and peace he also should have said that King fell in love with one of the woman Louis surrounded himself with and got married and had kids and eventually grandkids and not just made his kingdom bigger then ever but also parceled it out to all the grandchildren then the Narratir says And Is Remember as The Greatest Ruler In The History Of His Nation.

Louis, the 14th had a younger brother named Phillipe, Duke of Orleans. This movie really had to ignore that fact when they turned Phillipe into an imprisoned twin brother, haha.

Of course Athos would honor Phillippe's request. The boy never knew his father. Though he got to meet him and saw how much he loved him, he still needs a father. And Athos knows Phillippe will never replace Raoul, and the king will *never* let anyone, not even Athos or himself, believe otherwise. Phillippe is worthy to have Athos' fatherly love. I have no doubt Raoul would have loved him like a brother should.

That's why I get so sad when people call him an hypocrite. because Leonardo has always been into nature. He was always in love with the wonders of our natural world. He's an angel to this world he was God sent ❤

0:19/ 2:22 Did you all notice when Athos says that D'Artagnan was the best of them all Aramis is making this expression like he is saying sure he was like he did not fully Agree with Athose and I can see why because if D'Artagnan had just chose to join them to remove Louis from office then he would have known sooner that Louis had a twin brother and he that he had 2 sons instead of one. Also if I may be too bold to ask why is there Irish music playing when this whole story and movie takes place in France?

Everything in this scene was perfect and the whole movie was beautiful. And Jeremy Irons here has perfect latin pronunciation.

1:57-2:11 ... "Brought his people food, prosperity and peace." I don't think so. More famines and hunger riots swept through the kingdom and even the taxes got worse to the point where Louis XVI literally paid for it with his head. But with that said, I think the film did a great job of showing the extravagant life in the court of Louis XIV and how he didn't care about the plight of his people

Phillipe's first order as king should be to reinstate those black uniforms as the official uniforms of the Musketeers. Or at least make the black uniforms for high-ranking officers amongst the Musketeers. For two reasons. 1) The blue uniforms are his brother's era uniforms. It's time for a new start, and it begins with reinstating the uniforms of the four Musketeers that supported him. 2) They look SOOOO much cooler!

I love this movie.. And I love the music.. To make music that makes you "see" what happens in the movie when this particular piece is playing.. it's magical.. phenomenal.. It's my favourite Leonardo DiCaprio movie and in my opinion, they couldn't have made better choices for the four musketeers..

I know this is a fictional movie, but that last line annoys me. Louis the 14 was not the greatest or most loved ruler in the history of France. In fact, he was such a horrible ruler that Louis the 16 lost his head after the common folk had enough of the horrible living conditions the fallout out of 14s left. They could've at least made up a fictional monarch

The way the younger musketeers form a guard of honor and salute these three long-serving idols with the six words only true musketeers are allowed to chant at each-other. So powerful... By the way, I only just realized the iron mask on D'Artagnan's tombstone pointing out that he had indeed been the one in the iron mask all those years!
@girl121310 ай бұрын
Yeah. He was hiding the truth that he was the father of the king(s) and blames himself deeply for Louis' depravity and Phillippe's unjust imprisonment. At least he went knowing one son knew the truth, and loved him for just being him, not what he can do for him. If he had been allowed to, he would have never let what happened to Phillippe happen or let Louis become as bad as he was, but he couldn't. He saw the switch between his sons right away, but he likely wouldn't have said a thing if things gone right.
