Actually damascus steel originated in south india then exported persia then middle east then europe,the steel is called wootz steel,then export to syria and later rename it as Damascus,during that era ancient india like tamil nadu and several cities do it and indus valley too,lahore too has artisan for wootz steel,today there are still blacksmith of wootz steel in andra pradesh south india

Thanks to Salman Rashid for making these available. I came across this series by chance and watched all 13 episodes. A tremendous effort. It was great to hear this story (though based on the accounts of Greek historians, for none other is available) narrated and interpreted by someone who understands the peoples, culture, history and geography of this land in its full diversity.
