So in 68 the doors already had The End out, and was st pepper out? I think The Who we’re still in a sophomore phase. They started getting incredible between sell out and Tommy. In fact if they didn’t do Tommy I highly doubt they would have survived. The needed that huge opus to keep up w the stones, zep etc

Когда-то прямо за могилой Сэнди рос очень красивый клен. Жаль, что его срубили... Виден пенек от него, за плитой. Спасибо, за это видео! Очень грустная история.

I didn’t think I could love this song any more than I already did. But wow, this made me genuinely cry. I've always felt that this song was written in my language - as a guitarist and songwriter myself, it's exactly as I myself would have composed and arranged it, though not nearly as well - and this demo just serves to underscore that feeling. What an absolute treasure Sandy was and is.

Not sure why this Sandy version ends without the final four verses and I had heard another version missing the last verse. I remember Jean Ritchie had performed this song (back in 1960!) and who knows how it got included on Appalachian family songs album and Nick Jones version I also remember very well. The ending versions says Lord Bateman gives the current bride a coach and horses to have her depart so that a new wedding can be done with Sophia, the lady from Turkey.

I saw Paul 2 weeks before he died in a club in Higanum, CT, he did not look great but was in good spirits in the second half of the show after getting good and warmed up. He played the Hell out of that guitar that night with mostly Back Street Crawler mixed in with some Free cuts. Such an influential guitarist, he will be heard forever. Tuesday Morning, one of the best jams, ever. 🎸

Thanks to Art for sharing his unique and personal memories. This walking tour video is a little hard to find even after it's been viewed; maybe the title can still be updated to include his name? In some ways it's shocking to see that the stage is only a few inches higher than the dance floor but as often as not the venue is a basement with an 8 foot ceiling. How patrons were able to get inside these places, refill a drink, and dance is one of the great mysteries of the universe.

All Our Days Sandy Denny We search for everything Keeping what we would win Orchids or tiny flowers Wooden huts or ivory towers Centuries or hours Dark are the winter days Holy in many ways Vaults of time unshaken Whilst as through them we are taken Sleeping forests wake Ice melts on the lake Birds begin in making their way back home The frost and the fire goes East winds and winter snows Sun upon the daffodils Dancing on the verdant hills Lambs in the fields Warmer grows the morning sun Days of youthfulness and fun The prime of the year begun The song of summer to be sung Everything is one Working day is done Watch the river running through our lives How slowly the colours change We feel the drops of rain Mists of evening rise again We rarely stroll the shadowed lanes As autumn night draws in We sit upon the sand Warmth draining from the land Watching the ruby sun Setting on the ocean The echoes in the caves The flame upon the waves Memories for saving all our days

The whole thing is lip-synched of course - still great. Awesome things of note - Roger's mic swings on I'm A Boy, Keith going full lunatic with the wood blocks on Magic Bus, and for some reason Pete switches guitars.
