I know this is an old video but ascension is just busted, you get it late game so you are going to have 30+ hp, its just so much free damage and it goes through defense. It also turns you into a meat titan because you can just spam health up and health items since attack all of a sudden stops mattering, amazing item.

off topic, but I've been playing Dead Estate recently and I finished my first successful run yesterday :) Unlocked a new floor and a higher difficulty though.

If you intend to kill the Owl, I wouldn't suggest taking Freezing Aura unless you have a different method of stunning the Owl or a way to deal damage to him from afar. If not, the "freeze creature when hit" passive makes stunning the Owl with explosive enemies highly inconvenient.

on Skirt of Visions, I kinda feel like you need named tiers. Like for example S-tier would be named "Pick up every time", or you could name it something funny like "GOAT", and then you can have a tier specifically for items that are on both extremes of being S and F.

I believe dual wield working weird is a balance issue. If all the other items proced on both it would be broken too easily. For example: lets say you have splash damage with enhanced range. In that case not only both targets would be affected by splash damage, but enemies behind them would be affected by splash damage twice.

are you adding timestamps for these? When I return to the game, I'd like to go back to these videos to be like "does Worst recommend this or not?" type of thing to refresh my memory.

I think that the item where you give up HP and Defense in exchange for permanent max HP would go over better for you if it gave defense instead of HP, maybe not necessarily 3 since that's ALOT for defense, but something like 2, since you will immediately start feeling the benefit of the defense, where as with HP, you gotta wait until you get rid of the item and start healing to feel the benefit of its gains since you gotta stay under 5 HP for it.

Hey TAW. Great video but slight criticism. Do you think an overlay of the item in the top right hand corner would be better since it’ll allow the viewer to see the item better and read the passive as well? Or do you think it would be a bad viewing experience?

I do find it a bit weird that in Ritual Garment, Onion Suit and Extra Onion Suit the passive says "Deal x damage..." as if it's dealing normal mitigateble damage, yet if it works the same as soul damage which is un-mitigateble why not change the passive to say "Deal x soul damage..." instead 🤷🏻‍♂️.

The good thing about ring of pain that we can se in this video is even though you are being subjective, there are almost no trash itens (not including intentional bad itens like spoon or tiny crown) and enough good itens to make the game blanced and not make you only pick one thing every run.

Things like this can be a huge help. Especially with how complex this game is.

CONGRATS 🎉 This is incredibly impressive, especially narrating every single run while knowing many would fail. Takes a ton of persistence / endurance. Many, many digital high fives. I kinda wanna see you talk about different builds with somebody has a completely different playstyle than you(like for example, somebody who values speed over defense) since I think it'd be a fun watch.

Strikers veil is an F tier. 20% chance to lose the game every time you attack second AT BEST. Complete dog shit, if they put like 5 points of speed on there it only becomes considerable.

Love the tierlist, great video idea and can't wait to see more! Here are my thoughts on the tierlist About Scavenger, the first room generally has around 8 enemies (not to mention the extra enemies on the 2nd floor), so you could think of scavenger as a 2 speed, 1 defense, 8 clarity, -2 hp item which makes it at least B tier to me (it really shouldn't be on the same tier as skullcap at least). I would also put crown of clarity in A/S tier, simply cause at the end of the game you will generally either have negative clarity or way over 8 points of clarity so you can think of the -8 clarity like Chaotic Underwear's 10 points in speed which are a handicap until you get your speed lower. I think that focus is waaay better than changeling crown or cryokinesis (it practically has the same stats as cryokinesis but an arguably way better effect), but that might just be bias cause of my love for positive clarity. Lastly if we're really considering any build, then Void Portal isn't that good, it only fits builds that kill their targets directly which typically aren't the best ones out there. Otherwise, the tierlist was great!

About maniacl, my dark souls instinct says "defense is useless if you kill the enemies faster than they kill you" so I would put it in S and just build speed.

Great video, I have been waiting for you to make one of those. I expecially love Chaotic Underwear in Ox-Lantern runs. It gives an insane amount of defense and infinite speed right at the start of the run.

It would be cool if you did a tier list that focused on a type of build, for example a poison build, could show how some items are great for a build and some don’t really matter
