I worry that the brilliance of Michael Landon is just lost today, lost on the last couple of gens who don’t watch Little House. Michael was a brilliant actor, producer, director, creator in so many ways. But he was brilliant with casting and had a way of introducing characters who would become so BELOVED and by everyone, pretty much equally, among the many Little House fans. Albert is a prime example! We don’t see him too much because he leads a normal life and job out of the public eye, so there’s only a few reunions he’s joined. In fact, since the late 90s to current I think he’s only been to two. Linwood Boomer was a great one too! Now there are a couple that were off, especially towards the end. I never cared much for Carrie, but I think that’s because she was more of a “prop” in the family rather than a central character. Nor did they develop her role or acting in the show. I could be having a hard day and one episode of Little House or The Waltons will center me. They’re my Xanax and have been for decades.

This show helped me cope with the death of my dad one year before the pilot episode. I was 10 and the Ingalls became my surrogate family. God bless them all!!!

We all love and miss Michael Landon so much. Little House on the prairie came on television when I was about 15 years of age and it helped me through an awful lot in my mid teenage growing up years. My Dad had died when I was 13, and my Mom started neglecting me when I was about 16 and 1/2. And watching LHOTP helped lift my spirits. I had a loving Foster Mom at 16 and 1/2. And I didn't have to go through the system either. I thank God for that.

Im 58 now so i grew up with the show. Thank for a great show and giving us good things to watch. We don't have anything like it anymore. Its sad. Children today jave nothing to watch in the evening with their family. Nothing put FBI, CSI killing and investing shows. Or some so called Reality show. Thanks again 🙏

So-called "Michael Landon" (Sr) wasn't even his real name. He was born Eugene Maurice Orowitz. Changing one's birthname, other than for marriage, shows disrespect of surname & family heritage. It's especially a shame, if it's done at the behest of deceitful & mercenary 'Hollywood' studios or entertainment moguls & managers. The ludicrous misrepresentation of self, for ANY reason, is simply unnecessary.
