Why do parents homeschool their kids to me I see school in person as a important factor in life for people

great question, there's many reasons why more parents are opting to homeschool. I don't know this family or their reasons, but some include bullying, fear of (in usa) school intruders, or a multitude of medical diagnosises that would make it hard to trust the school can keep your kid safe and happy. socialization is important and happens in sports, clubs, neighborhoods and families as well. obviously not all parents are qualified but these two seem great:)

Public school nowadays really don’t set kids up well for life. Often times unqualified teachers who don’t really care about our kids are teaching things parents don’t really believe in. Often times school is too easy or too difficult for kids, so kids in public school just don’t reach their full potential. Parents want to spend time with their kids and raise them to be humans who are well set up to go into the real world.

We homeschool because my son has a heart condition. I know exactly what to do if he has an episode and I don't want to put that on a teacher with a class full of other children.

I homeschool because a lot of time at school is wasted time imo... the amount of actual learning happening is very minimal compared to what they can learn at home. The main reason though is because of school shootings... not on my watch.
