I just played the level Floodlight Fish, and man, it really fits the dark theme of the level. This was so beautiful, I was blown away, and when you hear it earlier in the first water level in Cotton Top Cove. Like holy shit. This theme really could be in a murder mystery film honestly, it's insane to me lol. Sounds like it could be at the end credits of a suspenseful and tense film with a cliffhanger ending. Surprising that this is only for a Donkey Kong game lol

I really like that song but I'm kinda disappointed since Treetop Tumble (along with Cascade Capers) were my favorite songs on SNES, I would have prefered the originals over this

It's like if all the previous water level songs in the series, fused together and gave us the oceaninc symphony of everything the ocean is... a place of mystery, beautiful wonders and many dangers. It's the ultimate water level song of the OG DKC Series, it could benefit for being on a better hardware, but it's still beautiful despite all of that.

It definitely conveys the feeling of “secrets of my world have been revealed but I must get out of here” and the sadder parts that play a minute and a half in just displays those intrusive thoughts of “my parents are dead, LeChuck is my brother, will I ever see Elaine again?”
