did you add any weights or is it straight up wood?

Didn’t add weights. It probably doesn’t need any extra weight, with the increased leverage over the stock shifter it makes shifting a breeze!

@@CarterSonia I don’t have a baffle on either of my cars. I haven’t had any oil pressure issues from autocross. Sure, a baffled pan is ideal; but you’re probably not pulling enough G’s to worry about oil starvation at a local autocross.

Wow, thank you for all that hard work. that was entertaining to watch. I saved ya to a playlist for when I'll have to do some of that same maintenance on my 03 325i. just got done with a radiator / expansion tank / new radiator hose job that was way over my skill level from the start but I sure did learn a lot and got the car running today. Can't even imagine how you felt after that deep of a dive into this car.

What drill bit did you use to test out the rails?

Not a drill bit. I used the shaft that connects the motor to the rail.

If the warning light is on and pushing the button doesn’t make a difference, then the computer is seeing an issue somewhere with one of the sensors. The most common issue that will cause this is a faulty wheel speed sensor. I would start with checking these.

On geuibo are there markings for which way it faces, also how do you know which 3 bolt set to loosen and/or remove. In which steps?
@RealSupernauto3 ай бұрын
The guibo is not directional. It can be installed facing either way. When removing the 3 bolts for the guibo to the trans, you can look at the driveshaft and see the 3 bolts that mount the driveshaft to the guibo. The bolts/nuts next to each of these connect the guibo to the tail shaft of the transmission. These bolts/nuts are the ones you need to remove before pulling the driveshaft. Hope that makes sense!

For cleaning the holes you can get some brushes for round holes that you can put in a drill
@RealSupernauto3 ай бұрын
Yes, that would work too. Just don’t run too many passes. The bristles on this brushes tend to break off as you use them.

Good job getting it done 👏! Been putting this off on my 330i but after doing rear main seal during my manual swap the leak is still dripping. Some posts on E46fanatics said up to 10 hour job hahaha 😅. Got my engine support bar from hft now waiting for oil change interval to proceed. Thanks for showing it is pretty straight forward.

great vid!!! keep em coming 👌 question, do you have a lot of free play in your steering?
@RealSupernauto5 ай бұрын
Thanks! 🙏🏽 Yes. It’s normal for these cars. They use a steering box instead of a rack and pinion like most cars. There’s always going to be some off-center play with that design. The amount of play in mine is within the factory specs.
