Thank you. That looks very easy. The way I do it is complicated, I was closing all the time the seams at the back of skirt and lining. I'll do it this way from now on😅.

I stated to look for some and hard to find matching pairs but the outfits nowadays compared to ‘90’s were not as good. I make teddy bear outfits too they are super cute and satisfying to make. Thanks for reminding me I have a bunch of fabric scraps that will be perfect for this. A few years ago I made a sweater and a skirt set for my bear it's so adorable!

I think you had enough fabric to cut the pockets WITH the dress. That way you wouldn't need to attach it separately. What do you think?

Does it have the artist name on the picture? My mother painted that ship twice in oil and sold them. Could have been from a popular reference picture. Would have been in the 1970s and 80s. Rekindled a fond memory thanks.

I really liked ur video.i have sewed few frocks for my daughter but i observe that my back bodice is always bit longer than the front one after joining the skirt part. I usually take front and back bodice length 15”. Pls solve my problem

@@swethakiran4671 I have that same problem with back bodice. I simply trim the center back by about an inch but I taper it off to the side seam. By doing that it eliminates the excess fabric at the back without shortening the sides. I hope that helps.

Oof, the front and back of a top are almost never identical, same with the sleeve shoulders, each half needs different ease for body shape and natural movement.
