The button head screws might act like a rear skid plate to protect the rear of the chassis.

Great video series. The car handled very well after your tuning. I think there is a different boost firmware available for your XR10 stock ESC that enables boost and turbo timing (it comes standard with blinky firmware). Looking forward to videos on whatever car you get next.

This was a real rollercoaster. For the wheels, how about a rod with loctite on the hub side and a nylon lock nut on the out side, or lock wire. The car looks great on the track.

I think I have replaced almost everything on mine, except the gear diffs, the bulkheads, and the motor mount.

i have this conversion kit and i only sealed the shock towers. mine is set up even stiffer than stock for dirt track. my servo saver also comes loose using high torque servos try teflon tape.

Fabulous series, thanks for all the hard work and carbon dust! I have a 870c waiting in the box. I did pick up some tasteful upgrades, carbon shock towers, carbon top deck, and a solid steering link. hopefully that all goes together without too much drilling and sanding. Great suggestion on sanding the diffs. I'm planning on going up to 2000 grit. Cause, you know, that's the grit I've got. And yeah, carbon dust is about the same as asbestos, the fibers go into the lungs and don't come out. Wear your PPE peeps!

It is possible that these parts would fit some cars without much trouble. I found that the chassis stiffener hole spacing did not line up with the hole in the center diff seat. Since most holes are countersunk, there isn't much adjustability by design. There is inherent tolerance stack-up that will occur between the holes in the chassis, chassis stiffener, deck supports and center diff seat so I don't find this very surprising. Also, something that was pretty clear cut, the front of the chassis stiffener has more material on it than the factory part. I lined the two up against each other. With the extra material, it rubs against the front diff which is a problem. It wasn't much trouble to trim some of this material off. There are a few other mods I made as well, some are just my preferences. I really don't mind making these changes as it just adds to the end product and the carbon fiber looks gorgeous.

The 807C Super Dog Fighter and the YZ-10 are almost identical buggies. The wheels are different colors but interchangeable and the bodies are shaped differently.

The kit comes with a 21 tooth, 48 pitch pinion. The spur gear is 84 tooth.
