very very very strong GPU for a 5 years old card..you can still run ultra graphics on 1080p! but , becarefull with your GPU temp. you can still play new titles at high settings at 1080p for few more years but, only if you becarefull with your GPU degree

Hey i have an 3400g and i am planning to buy a gpu but due to bottle neck issue i can fit a 1660 super on my pc but the price for 1660 super and 3050 is currently is same what should i do? Is the bottle neck to high or low i am confused could you please help me? I'm basically a KZbin streamer I want My GPU to be future proof, I'd like to play games in 1080p high graphics, and if I upgrade to 3050 can I pull easily current gen games,and can should i consider the OBS stress to external source like lap or can i able to stream and play games with my r53400g and rtx 3050 ? kindly reply me its bothering me so much please

Hey! If you're streaming and gaming at 1080p with high settings, I'd recommend the RTX 3050 over the 1660 Super. The 3050 is more future-proof, with features like DLSS for better performance in current-gen games. While the 3400G may create a small bottleneck, it shouldn't be too significant for most games. For streaming, using OBS on the same system can add stress, so if you can, consider offloading it to an external source like a laptop. But if you optimize your OBS settings, the 3400G and RTX 3050 should handle gaming and streaming fairly well

Having AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 2.1 (FSR) on and using Ultra settings can contribute to higher CPU load. FSR helps boost performance by upscaling lower resolutions, but with Ultra settings, the game still demands a lot from both the CPU and GPU. I should've used DLSS instead.

In the video, I was using OBS Studio to record and encode on the same GPU, which could explain why the clock speed was lower. OBS can take up some of the GPU’s resources, preventing it from reaching its full boost clock. I've since switched to using a separate PC for recording and encoding to avoid this issue in future videos.

Hey! I'd recommend going with the 3050. It has DLSS, which boosts performance by using AI to improve frame rates in supported games. Plus, the 3050 has more VRAM (8GB vs. 6GB on the 1660 Super), which is better for demanding games and future-proofing. The bottleneck with the 3400G isn't too high, so the 3050 should be a solid choice.
