Fairwork is a joke. This tool is broken and doesn't work. All these people getting paid massive salaries from tax payers to then build this useless tool should go to jail

Tell me why Australia Governance pay ombudsman this department is unless they’re not doing nothing and don’t even answer the complain and reports. Waste of money from taxes

I applied to request a permanent 9 day work fortnight, it’s been approved for a further 6 months then I was told it will declined in October 24 I’m awaiting a letter stating why I can’t have it permanently I’m 59 yo. Then I’ll be lodging a dispute with fair work to get a resolution and a fair reason why. I’m heading towards retirement.

Ombudsman send an email and never received answer or resolution…..a lot of money to this department from tax payer and they’re not doing absolutely nothing …artificial intelligence can be more effective than this department for free….I saw many corruption from Education providers and employers and Australia are doing nothing about it…..

I’m a rideshare driver and I have been screwed by these rideshare companies stealing money from me. We pay taxes and our taxes are used to bail out the public and companies during the pandemic, now we are been robbed, why isn’t the fair work doing something about this?

For the Schoolies who want to get to the steps immediately: 1. Set a time to have the conversation when you're cool, calm and collected 2. Take the time to prepare and gain an understanding of your rights and entitlements 3. Have a conversation and ask what's up?

For the Schoolies who want the myths immediately: 1. Employers can pay employees however much they like 2. Employers can make deductions from your wages to cover losses from breakages and customers who don't pay 3. Payslips aren't mandatory 4. Employers can pay young workers as trainees' or 'apprentices without lodging any formal paperwork 5. Casual employees are not entitled to take leave

I work on Sundays, sometimes Saturdays as a kitchen hand , I do cooking, waiting tables and cleaning...... anyway, I only got $25 per hour pay at the moment, I had no idea about the penalty rate 😢 and I already worked there for 2 months, my boss never provided me with any pay slips. When I asked her to pay me through bank transfer yesterday, she refused and said she would like to only pay me by cash in hands. Even though she told me at the job interview I can choose whichever way to receive my salary. Anyway , I sent her an SMS yesterday to ask for pay slips, she still hasn't replied me, What do I do?

It sort sucks employers can force you to take annual leave. If you what they deem excessive leave (320hours), they can force you to use it
@ChrisWu2k2 Жыл бұрын
So how about you didn’t get 38 hours this week because of the Easter. Do you get pay as 38 hours or a full day. For example you work 4 days this week it’s already 32 hours and you got Friday as a public holiday and Saturday,Sunday off do you get pay 32+8(your normal hour)=40 or just 38 because you are a full timer.?

apprenticeships is an outdated system of salvery, those who promote the apprenticeship system have never actually completed one themselves, If anyone encourages you to complete one and they havent done one themselves then ask your self why? apprenticeships = slave labor slave wages.

But who PAYS this accumilated pay? Like is it deducted from employee checks each week? if not, how do businesses afford to just give people paid time off?
@carmattvidz4426 Жыл бұрын
It a cost of running the business.
@garionporter5961 Жыл бұрын
@@carmattvidz4426 So the business pays for it 100%? This would imply slightly lower wages and/or slight increase in product/services to consumers and clients I guess - the money has to come from somewhere. In Canada - a tiny portion of each paycheck is deducted and saved (marked as such on pay stub) so at least employee knows how much is accumulating. Of course, a smart person would need no deductions - they would save a bit on their own...but most humans are not that smart :D
@carmattvidz4426 Жыл бұрын
@@garionporter5961 yes it is included in the cost of hiring someone. Every month an employee will be given 2.5 days of annual leave which the worker can use on an agreed time. I personally have over 300 hours of annual leave saved up. That means i could take around 8 week off and still be paid my usual income. Yes, all your leave balances are put on your pay slip. I also get 2hrs of pay deduction each week which goes into a bank. When i have accumulated 8hrs or more i can take that time off. I work in the public sector so i get like 8 weeks of paid leave every year. It is great
@carmattvidz4426 Жыл бұрын
@@garionporter5961 if you leave a job the business needs to pay out your annual leave. If i left my job I would be paid a lump sum worth 300 hours at my usual hourly rate. You also have the option of been paid out your annual leave instead of taking time off. For me i would get a $15k payout for my annual leave but i would be tax heavily on it.
