I have watched your videos since you began your Quilting Cowboy series. Yes, a number of years. Your transitions as you have progressed through your adult years has been awesome to see. Thank you for sharing it all with us. Who would have known that from your beginning in the quilting videos would lead to "Shamanism." Letting go of opinions sounds like quite an accomplishment. I live in Northern Colorado, do you know of any Shaman schools here? Or Shaman practitioners? Peace and Love to you.

From visions of despair I rose, and scaled The peak of an aerial promontory, Whose caverned base with the vext surge was hoary And saw the golden dawn break forth, and waken Each cloud, and every wave.

From new Subbe💯👍🏽 I remember my dad telling me the story of my grandmother [his mother] actually seeing my dads doppelganger after looking at [the real] him get on his schoolbus. She normally would watch my dad from her window...but on THAT day, she turned around and something that looked just like my dad was standing behind her. Staring at her while saying nothin. That story always gave me chills.

Paganini was said to have bought bad strings to either break them so no one could buy bad strings or use them and 'accidentally' break them during performances having learnt his pieces on different combinations of strings some reports even going so far as to say he could play an entire piece he composed on the G string alone, great showman he was

Whitney mentioned going to Ireland, and from what I've gathered from your guests in this Appalachian series, there seems to be a similarity between Irish folk and Appalachians in that they both have the storytelling spirit. I bet a lot of time is spent in both cultures telling stories around the fire, and you can tell with Whitney. I really enjoyed her storytelling.

Oh yes you’re absolutely right! Since a lot of Irish and Scottish settled in the Appalachians there’s a ton of crossover, from storytelling traditions, music, farming techniques, and of course-supernatural beliefs. When I was in Ireland I was struck by just how familiar everything felt culturally, because I grew up in Appalachia (especially in rural Ireland).

Mine has been going on 4 yrs, right now my recliner is shaking vibrating my mom is scared and denies it the voices and haunting, I found it's connected to demon of Brownsville rd the famous haunting our ancestors were killed there by indians in Pittsburgh, its annoying I thought my heart was doing it, its not.

Learn better finger posture, typically pinky and ring finger planted below the D string and middle, pointer, and thumb. This is how I play it, learn rolls with it! It will take time to learn and practice, but it’s worth it in the end! I recommend 30 days of banjo with Eli Gilbert. Good luck!

Umm ......you do realize that you can still play even if one or two strings break right? You just play the same notes higher up on the other strings that are left, lol you sounded so pretentious and snobby when you said that, you thought you were so clever, but in reality it made you sound dumb 😆😆 .......nice try though

A family full of paranormal experiences, I love it!! Sounds like a few of them may have some innate psychic abilities… I’m fascinated with Southern sensibilities towards the supernatural. It seems that in their culture there’s a lot more openness/acceptance to the otherworldly. Another great show!

Very cool episode! Sorry, I’m catching up on old shows because for some reason I haven’t been getting the new ones on my Apple Podcasts feed 😅I was starting to get worried! So I checked here and was happy to see I just have three episodes to catch up on! I must say I was particularly intrigued/creeped out by the worm-fingered woman. It sounds like she was a corporeal woman who was just a bit strange? She sounds almost like she could be a part of the ufo phenomenon (kind of MIB/BEK-esque). Great guest and great show!
