You are an AMAZING VISUAL ARTIST Sir Alex! I am ALWAYS in awe of the work You post! This diorama has taken first place on My list of "Alex's' Dioramas," it is wonderful! I am a very big fan of the Predator! I LOVE every one of the Predator movies! Every one of them! Any chance of another diorama with The Predator?? Is the site You posted where You get all of Your minis? I will have to take a look see. Well, I don't have a printer but hey what the heck right? As ever Alex, I look forward to the next video! I eagerly await every one just to see what You have pulled out of the hat for Us to see! This dio subject is My new favorite! (till the next one shows up, HA!) I really find Your wash technique,(or is it a glaze?), to be very interesting, it has a most effective result on every piece You use it on! Fascinating SIr! Absolutely fascinating! Thank You as always for taking the time and consideration of sharing with Us all here in tubeland! A Returning Indian War Party ! Whoa! I am going to have to go back and watch the first video on this! I really like how You build this fellow up! I want to see the pieces You had to choose from again. And His name! WOW! What a mouth full! It looks like a bunch of metal being gnawed on and that is just looking at the spelling! I think I would like to try one, do him up like a Blue Meany from The Yellow Submarine! HA! Those brushes Your using are they synthetic or natural hair? What do You clean them with? Do You use a brush shaper jell after cleaning them? Those look to be a very important tool in the painting box for sure! Did You use more washes or glazing in painting this figure? Or is it a combination of both? This is GREAT what Your doing here Alex!! Oh, and I really dig the background music in this one! Very Cool Tunes!! Thank You for sharing with Us here in tubeland!! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later
@SLUDGEWORLDSАй бұрын
Thank you again; russell ;) I actually almost only use synthetic brushes because I'm a real sucker when it comes to cleanliness and care. With real hair brushes, that would be expensive in the long run :D So I only care for my brushes with water and spit to keep their shape. When it comes to colors, I primarily use transparent speed paints, normal warpaints and washes. I actually never use glazing colors. If I want something shiny, then I simply paint the areas in question with a glossy varnish. But I'll be making some sort of "how to" videos soon. It will definitely be explained better then ;)

I was also wondering what type of music that is. It sounds like melodic death metal mixed with nerdcore in a way, but not quite. :P

@SLUDGEWORLDS2 ай бұрын
Of course I do commissioned work. It just depends on what it is supposed to be about. Terrain or figures? It probably only makes sense if you're at home in Europe, otherwise sending it becomes an odyssey ;) Private lessons are certainly also possible. Which medium we would use to do this is another matter :)

The dense forest mist rolls into a fog to surround the swampy marshland around the black pool. My biggest thanks for your words, Russell! I always try to tell some kind of story with my dioramas. It may look different for everyone, but I'm really happy when people think about it. Looking forward to seeing more of this delight! Take Care, Be Safe, God Bless, Later

Thank you very much Russell. No, it doesn't take that long. I estimate that the princess with horse took me maybe 3-4 hours. It's all just a question of my "painting system" ;) I'm very lazy and like to finish things quicker rather than slower. I prime and drybrush beforehand and then paint over it with transparent speed paints. This means I only need one layer per color, which makes the whole thing very quick. I just paint a few highlights on top, wash the whole thing and that's it :D And yes - the dragon is my own design (sculpted in Blender 3D)

THX Russell! These are so-called speed paints, which are transparent even after drying: That's exactly why I prime with black and drybrush with white over it - I personally think the ones from Vallejo are the best in terms of price-performance ratio. The subtle shine is probably caused by the wash afterwards. Yes, the figures are all printed out by me. That's why all of them have minor issues :D
